Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Batesville

The shared areas were clean and looked good. The room was disgusting! Damp and musty smelling. The walls were in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint. One of towels in the bathroom was stained. I was traveling with my husband who requires oxygen, when we arrived at 11pm, there were no luggage carts. Thankfully I requested a room on the first floor and it was near a door. The breakfast was typical, though the person working it was somewhat rude. All in all, very disappointed in this stay and would never recommend it to anyone.

We were very happy with the room — the only drawback was the first room we were assigned had a refrigerator that wasn’t working so we had to change rooms. But everything else was very good.

Breakfast was disappointing.Juice machine was out of order. Selection of food was skimpy. Front desk was helpful and friendly.

It’s convenient The hallways are always dirty. Someone just needs to vacuum.

Very little. The staff were not friendly or helpful. The facility was outdated and old fashioned. When their container for eggs was empty, it took over a half an hour to attend to it. The TV remote was not our room. When I told the front, the attendant was flustered then pulled a remote out of a drawer and said “Try this.” The remote was not programmed. I took it back to the front desk and informed the attendant. She replied “Well, that’s the only remote I have.” I finally got them to begrudgingly give us another room.

The bed was comfortable and tv was nice First thing I noticed, was an approximately 2” gap at the top of my room door. Noticed later that day, other doors were mounted properly, others had different variations of gaps (some slanted, smaller gapped, and others in between). My room was clean but the sink did not drain properly, I ended up just using the sink water quick and turn off quick for brushing my teeth and avoided shaving because it was a hassle to clean after with the drain issue. The amenities were fair, the breakfast was not the best but sufficient, and the pool was down the whole time. Honestly I had just gotten out of a bad relationship and had no other option but to get a hotel for the week. I tried to pick the nicest in the area and do not feel it was worth the $500 dollars I spent for 5 nights.

The swimming pool was not open. The breakfast was okay but the eggs could have been hotter but I did go about 45 minutes before it ended.

Only problem I had was there was not a stopper for the bathtub. Otherwise wonderful stay.
