Quality Inn Batesville

Front desk guy was very rude. Breakfast lady and front desk lady the next morning was wonderful! Rooms are in very bad shape . Pool was closed. They said for remodeling. Our door would not shut unless we yanked on it. Bed was comfy.

Bad rooms

The exterior entrance that is supposed to be secure (card-key access) was not. We could just pull the door open. The ice machine didn’t work, had to use 2nd floor machine. Had to move the nightstand to access one of the only outlets that had power or plug didn’t fall out of. The carpet in the hallway is so old and stretched that it makes big gathers/ripples. It was difficult to roll the luggage and a definite tripping hazard. I accidentally turned-over a bottle a water by the sink. So I grabbed a hand-towel to blot it up. The carpet is so disgustingly dirty that towel was black just from blotting.

Location and Saturday morning employees were nice. Lots of bad things wrong in the rooms, toilet ran all night, mold in the room, smelled like door smoke, sheets had stains, a long list of things.

Good for a one night stay. Hotel in general is ready for some updating, based on prices of surrounding hotels, it is a decent value. Just don’t expect it to be as pretty as the more expensive options.

Place was clean and staff really nice. No phone in room to contact front desk other than that no complaints.

I think several patrons are long-stay customers. We arrived about 10 pm and the back parking lot had several groups outside just "hanging out" around their cars. Some were working on them, I think. Just kind of intimidating for a lady and 2 kids.

I was not informed I would have a $100 hold on my account.

Would look into other hotels, if possible. Only went with this one because it was the only hotel under $250+ to sleep for a few hours before hitting the road again for the date I needed. The first room we got, the floor was soaked and smelled of mold. Black mold on the wall where the AC unit was. The woman working the front desk was helpful in getting us a new room. New room at least didn’t smell of mold, but the TV didn’t work and smelled like it’d been smoked in before. Which obviously isn’t the hotels fault. But there were game board pieces and poptart crumbs in our bed, so I’m assuming the bedding wasn’t changed at all or anything. Keep in mind when I got there I was required to pay a deposit that was more than the room itself even cost. Would rather sleep in my car with an infant and a couple a kids next time lol.

The rooms were gross. Dirt on the floor, gum on the corner chair, rust covered the bedside lamp. The pool was green and you couldn’t see the bottom.

Absolutely disgusting. Extremely dirty, smells horrible even in the hallway. Huge BLOODSTAIN on the bedspread as soon as you walk in the door. Dirty carpets look and smell like they’ve never been cleaned. Stains and smears all over the headboards. Stains and smears all over the walls. Dirt and smears and grime down the front of the sink like it had never been wiped down. The pool was solid green and so murky and dirty that I would never allow anyone to swim in it. Very very dated and very very nasty place. We just left without staying. Don’t waste your money unless you’re ok with filth.
