everything was great

When you say Tomato soup and grill cheese. An you get tomoto sauce that is nasty. Besides that the time we stayed was great

Everyone was so nice and welcoming from the moment we got there. Very good customer service. The room was nice and clean. It’s close to a lot of places and walking distance to restaurants which makes it nice since the hotel doesn’t have its own parking lot and we did valet parking. I’ll definitely be coming back and staying here!

However, the next day the hotel billed me for the same night again (I saw it taken from my bank account - I didn't receive an emailed hotel invoice). When I emailed the Marriott Baton Rouge to point out the problem and to ask for a refund I just got a generic response which as good as said 'computer says no'. I tried again and got another dismissive generic response from their head office. On getting back home to England I spoke to booking. com who agreed there was an issue and said they would work to get a refund. After many emails with booking and being assured my claim was valid I have still had no refund from them (it is now mid June and I stayed at the hotel 19 Mar). So the booking. com response has been very disappointing too. I am very annoyed that the Marriott did not take my emails seriously and clearly wasn't interested in really looking into the issue. Thank heavens it was only for one night. My advice to all who stay - make sure you get an invoice from reception before leaving.

Nice hotel in downtown Baton Rouge. Short walk from our favorite restaurant in the downtown, Capital Grill.
-
Downtown right by where I needed to go for work Front desk worker was rude and for the two nights we stayed had a attitude every night…
-
On first day they allocated my room to another guest , luckily I was in my room when he tried to get into the room with a key card that opened my door. An altogether unsettling experience.
