Origin Baton Rouge, a Wyndham Hotel

Be forewarned. Not only do they not have breakfast until 7 a.m., there is no coffee in the lobby either. "There's free coffee in your room." That sounds good until I'm trying to figure out how to work the machine bleary-eyed at 5 a.m. It was annoying.

I really loved the decor, and the staff was really friendly! Bed was slightly to firm for my taste, but not that big of a deal.

We did not eat at the hotel. Coffe in the room was not to our liking.

Hotel had 2 e-bikes equipped with locks and helmets made available to guests, which we took advantage of to cruise around the area and into the LSU campus zone. Parking was on street just outside of hotel and it was a breeze, but not sure It would go if the hotel was fully booked but we had no problem finding parking for either night of our stay. Hotel felt just about right for value. Downtown area felt like a ghost town. Not related to hotel but wow! Eerie….

This hotel was amazing clean organized and staff always helpful.

The full length mirror in our room was broken in half with jagged glass corners exposed in the entryway of the room and the part of the bedside table lamp that holds the bulb was hanging down by its wires. When I went downstairs to tell the front desk, she told me they knew about the mirror prior to putting us in the room but made a note about the lamp. I replied that the edges of the mirror were really sharp and easy to get cut on, crickets. Just repeated that they already knew about it. In my opinion we should have been offered another room or the mirror should have been removed prior to our stay.

Parking was very affordable and safe. The rooms were spotless and so clean, the breakfast at the restaurant was amazing!

Staff was helpful. They were the best part of out stay. Doors to the rooms were heavy but could hear them slam. Could hear conversations thru the walls. My window had a full length gap that leaked rain, made the wall moldy and only had superficial repairs, was missing room items and things were broken. The bar and restaurant were not open as advertised. Great location but the rooms and amenities were poor.

The location was good and the room was a nice size. The bathroom was not very clean there was pubic hair in the bathtub and there was something that looked like poop on the curtain to the balcony.

Room modern and Clean, great staff and parking was super simple.....my new Go to for DT-BR

Hotel info is misleading. No evening restaurant during summer. No coffee bar. No bar. Small parking lot $18. Bathroom was dirty. Toilet constantly running. There was a party on the 4th floor and the entire hotel could hear. Very loud music. Very loud city. Do not recommend.
