Origin Baton Rouge, a Wyndham Hotel

parking was convenient. Staff was very friendly love the layout and design of the hotel but the restaurant and bar was not open or available during our stay which was weird because we arrived early in the day and we did have some brown spots or rust in the tub but besides that everything else was great. came down to visit LSU for my daughter orientation and it was the perfect location and I would stay there again. hopefully next time we can try the restaurant because I heard it was a really good happy hour.

Convenient location and nice staff and dog friendly

The room was nice. But lights went out for hours and coffee machine didn’t work

The shower/tub was dirty. The toilet was nasty. The room had a “stinch”. It was dirty. There was power outage from 9pm until 4am. The ac NEVER worked in the room the entire time and it was 90 degrees outside. It felt like a sauna. The elevator didn’t work and I was on the 3rd floor. The only good thing is that the staff was very accommodating. The lady who worked the morning shift on 07/02/2026 was extremely nice and also helpful. The young girl in the restaurant on 07/03/2026 was nice also. On 07/03/2026 I went down to the desk to let the staff know that the ac didn’t work the entire time. There was a guy who basically said “it has nothing to do with me.” However the lady with him was so helpful and apologetic. I had four more days of vacation left so I went to another hotel.

We have stayed here for several years and were extremely disappointed in the service and cleanliness of the hotel. The restaurant/bar is no longer open at night. We arrived in a driving rainstorm and nobody assisted us with anything at all. There was no staff available to assist with luggage or anything else. All of our clothes were soaking wet, which the staff did allow the use of the dryer. The carpet was dirty in the hallways. We were informed during the driving rainstorm that they would charge us $100 to allow our 10 lb dog to spend the night. We have never paid for pets to stay before and the website does NOT state that the fee is $100. It’s outrageous to charge $100 for a 10 lb dog. The hotel should just state that it’s not pet friendly. We will never stay here again and this used to be our favorite hotel in downtown Baton Rouge. It’s gone down bad.

The reception staff were sat on their phone the entire time. The man who checked us in was far from friendly. This was our 4th hotel in our trip and by far the least friendliest. Also you can't get a drink at the bar as a hotel guest after 2300!

We stayed here for our wedding night so we had somewhere near the afterparty to retreat to. Check-in was a breeze, the room was cute and clean and the toiletries were nice. The mattress is a bit softer than I like but many people would prefer it. The purple green and gold Nespresso pods were a nice touch. Great value, would highly recommend to visitors and will probably come back for weekend getaways.

Got it super late for my daughters Bengal Bound orientation at LSU and checkout was super smooth and quick which allowed us to get some rest for an early wake up call. Parking was perfect right next to the building and amenities were explained thoroughly even though there was no plan to use them. Room was clean and nice little touch for my future Tiger. Simple checkout process and friendly desk staff. Thanks again!

This hotel was undoubtedly the most enjoyable and memorable we’ve ever stayed at. The location was fantastic, the staff was incredibly friendly, the suite was both quiet and spacious, and the place was spotlessly clean. The decor was absolutely stunning, making you feel like you were staying in a chic high-rise apartment. We absolutely loved the overall vibe and atmosphere. It was a far cry from the typical boring hotel decor. We traveled with my husband and three kids, and it was a hit with everyone in my group. They all had a fantastic stay and are already planning their next visit!

They clean , comfortable and the staff friendly and welcoming We didn’t like the parking and we wasn’t told he had to pay for parking $18 dollars a night

The property is fun to stay at. It’s just close enough to the LSU campus

The location was perfect, 10 min to LSU and great food all around. The staff was helpful and accommodating. Easy parking for free right in front of the hotel. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. Didn’t try the onsite dinning
