Super 8 by Wyndham Baton Rouge/I-10

The room was very clean, but the floor in front of the door was damp, I'm guessing from the air conditioner but maybe because it rained. The front desk staff was kind, the air conditioning worked well but was very loud in our room. Breakfast was lacking but I guess what you'd expect for continental.

The room was cute. The bed was EXTREMELY comfortable. Everything else was perfect. Fridge and microwave in the room. Enough towels. Parking was plentiful— it was a little inconvenient because our room was on the back side of the property so we had to walk a bit to get to our room, but other than the fact we kept walking back and forth in front of a woman who appeared to be having a phone conversation (I honestly don’t think the phone was on and neither did my travel companion) it wasn’t bad. The breakfast was light (I’m gluten free so my options are limited), but there was juice and coffee and toast and cereal. There may have even been a waffle maker, but I don’t pay attention to those As we left I noticed that the property next door was abandoned ———— As for the extra presence in the room: My traveling companion woke me up in the middle of the night screaming because something had grabbed her leg. She was sleeping in front of the mirror that we could not cover. Eventually we were able to go back to sleep, but then it came to bother me in my dreams. I’m not usually one to interact with unknown spirits, so I wasn’t thrilled about that. Honestly if I hadn’t promised the spirit that we’d leave in the morning and never come back, I’d probably stay there again if I knew I would get a different room. It was good value.

I booked a King and got a double, the pool was not clean and you couldn't swim in it, my 1st room( a double) was very dirty and I had to show pictures to the staff to prove it was dirty and asked for the king room I reserved. It seemed like they didn't want to change my room but they did offer to clean the double room. I asked for my King room and they did accommodate me and that room WAS clean. I would go back and stay, with the understanding its a MOTEL 8 not the Hyatt!

bed sheets had not been changed between guests. were filthy there was actually someone's clothes between the sheet and the mattress , was handed clean sheets by desk clerk

It's not bad for those that are trying to relocate and can't afford the high end places. The staff seems nice. The breakfast, hey, it's free. Meaning, you shouldn't expect a lot. Anything "free" you shouldn't expect a lot. All in all, not bad.
