Extended Stay America Suites Chicago Midway

Our stay at Extended Stay America was extremely disappointing. We specifically chose this hotel because we expected a proper kitchen setup with decent-quality dishes and utensils. Unfortunately, the dishes provided were extremely poor quality and did not meet reasonable expectations for a hotel that promotes kitchen-equipped rooms. To make matters worse, the electricity tripped for some time during our stay, which caused significant inconvenience. We were even forced to manage without proper lighting while bathing, which was both uncomfortable and unacceptable. Overall, the experience was far below what we expected. The kitchen setup needs serious improvement, and basic facilities such as reliable electricity should be a given. I would not recommend this property based on our experience.

ON top of that it said breakfast available, but the only option was muffin and a bar.

I didn’t like the front desk lady was very rude. My car got broken into and there was no cameras facing that side of the parking lot.

Disappointing

The room was what I expected. The amenities were excellent and the bed was wonderful. We had to leave earlier than usual, so we didn't get breakfast. Not much.

Exceptional

Extended Stay located in the Chicago Midway Airport area is a dirty smelly place. I had to look at 3 rooms and each room was more filthy than the one before. Groups of people were hanging out in the front of the establishment smoking and drinking and talking loud. The hallway smelled like marijuana and some other nasty smell. I had to call Expedia to get me out of there because the pictures on the Expedia site was not the reality when I arrived. I did not feel safe with the people traffic hanging around the facility. Expedia was able to get the hotel to cancel my stay so I can find a cleaner and safe place. I do not recommend this establishment to anyone especially if you are traveling for business and you prefer a cleaner and quiet environment.

Location to the midway airport Cleanliness $250 smoking policy you have to sign but everyone smokes on the floor, as a nonsmoker this was uncomfortable the whole time.

Staff mean, hotel looks sketchy. Rat turds in the bathroom and room is outdated.
