Red Roof Inn PLUS+ & Suites Birmingham - Bessemer

I liked it was close to everything Asked for handicap because my husband is a amputee didn't get on so he couldn't even shower. Toilet had a leek, air-conditioner was loud, we given end of hall with husband on crutches second floor. They were power washing front entrance which caused his crutches to slip

It was close to where I needed to be. No breakfast , no -only decaf coffee was made.

Location Cockroaches everywhere.

Good enough for the value. We just needed a clean place to sleep and shower. This worked!

Bed was okay. pets allowed with $100 deposit. No real soap bars and shampoo. no tv channel guide. room phone did not work, no morning coffee. had a small closet but no rod to hang clothes. back door did not lock, anyone off the street has access to the first floor. only soap and shampoos dispensers in non-convenient locations, no real soap nor shampoo. No channel guide for tv, have to go thru each and every channel to locate anything worth watching. room was hot took about 3+ hours to cool to comfortable level.

You can tell that it has been renovated and was a nice stay.

Terrible mildew smell no clean towels when needed help from staff attitude just terrible & smells tv remote doesn’t work

I stood at the desk for about 20 minutes waiting for the lady at the desk to check us in. I tried yelling for her and everything. You could definitely tell she was asleep. They also don't have hair dryers, so bring your own. The floor in the room was gross, something was spilled in it from the previous people and they didn't clean it up, so it was super sticky. The beds were literally worse than sleeping on the ground. Truly the only reason we stayed is because it was convenient enough for the concert we were attending but wasn't too close to Tuscaloosa that it costed us $500 for 2 days. But overall, not a very good red roof in my opinion.

Very odd smell as soon as we got in the elevator. Not a good smell. We could see light around both sides of our door. Not very comforting staying in a hotel. Felt like someone could just push the door down with one hand to come right in. And the entry door and bathroom door right next to each other was difficult with a wheelchair. Also the way the door opened towards a small wall, was not a good setup for handicap room. Only stayed one night so we made do. Will not stay again. Old hotel, Needs a lot of work.

The cleanliness of the room and the overall motel in general. We didn't use it, but they did have an indoor swimming pool on the property. The only drawback to the Motel was no breakfast service, but they did have coffee 24 hours a day. They cleaned our room daily which was a pleasant surprise. Getting clean towels and sheets every day after a hard day's work was very refreshing. All the rooms have microwaves and mini fridges. They could have served a continental breakfast but for the price you pay I really can't complain. We were very pleasantly surprised.

Room door (104) and back exterior door neither worked as expected. Both need to be replaced. Bed pillows were hard an uncompromising.

Room smelled of mildew when the air was running..stayed 4 days room was not cleaned during our stay no continental breakfast included

Price Wouldn’t give extra towels. Then pool was cloudy and they put chemicals in it so couldn’t use. Only reason we chose this hotel was for a pool then couldn’t use it
