Reviews

The property was very clean and kept up really well. The staff was very friendly and the property is close to lots of restaurants and shopping areas.
-
The staff were wonderful, everything was nice and clean, the pool area was beautiful. The facility could use a little love; there were loose screws, loose door handles, and an elevator was down.

I would like to start by saying that the staff is super friendly and very accommodating, however, this was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The key card system had been down since Sunday, so we were given one key that had to be returned upon checkout, which was fine. The hallways all rank of pet urine and Febreze, the thermostat didn’t work.. I had an error sign, and did not work right, the key card system was down, and we had to jump the fence to swim in the pool. There was no creamer for the coffee, and the beds were super uncomfortable.

nice and clean

To make matters worse, we were awakened around 5:00 AM by the smell of marijuana seeping into our room from somewhere nearby. The elevator also felt unsafe, and one side was out of service during our stay. At around $170 per night, we expected a much nicer experience. The price is comparable to the DoubleTree where we usually stay, but this hotel offered a far less comfortable experience. There wasn’t even a complimentary breakfast, which was another disappointment considering the nightly rate. Unfortunately, we won’t be staying here again.

The hotel was clean and had a nice kitchenette.

Awesome
-
Disappointed that the swimming pool was not available during our stay. Also it seemed like the exterior of the building and the reception area were updated, nice new and clean - but the rooms themselves seemed older, cramped and out of style. Big difference between the exterior look and the quality of the rooms themselves.
-
There was roaches on the wall and at the hallway there was barely Pots and pans to use, but the front desk representative was really friendly and nice but the cleaning lady that cleans the floors in the lobby bathroom is rude
-
The staff from the front desk to housekeeping were all friendly and accommodating. The room was well kept and I liked the the hotel was located near shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay!
-
The front desk was very helpful. The hotel itself, however, smelled like an overuse of cleaning products yet it was dirty everywhere. We had multiple rooms and all were disgusting - clogged shower drains, dirty tubs, stains and burn marks on carpet, paint on towels, hairballs in the bed. I have never seen a Candlewood Suites in this condition.

The hotel was clean, conveniently located and well equipped for a long weekend.
-
Good cheap place when you are playing baseball in hoover. BBQ was good. Showers were hot and water pressure was great. Free laundry service was very nice and came in handy washing jerseys. Kitchen in the room was also great. Pool was warm as we stayed in the summer and was quiet.

The kitchen sink was leaking. It

The hotel was great! The laundry room had 2/5 washing machines working but no complaints. Staff was very helpful our entire stay.
-
We stayed for a baseball tournament the hotel was clean and neat staff was extremely helpful.
-
Staff extremely friendly. Wish room would have been cleaner.
-
Room was ok. There was a strong smell of some type of cleaning supply. Room did not have a smart TV. First hotel I’ve been to in a long time where the TV didn’t have access to Netflix, Hulu, etc. Property was ok. The room was ok. Pool was not open either. Only benefit hotel had was proximity to restaurants and shopping. Would not stay again.

Very comfy

The staff was very helpful. The room was not cleaned daily. no garbage can in the bathroom, and I had to get towels after the first night. The room was comfortable, quiet and we were able to rest well.
