Quality Inn & Suites Birmingham - Highway 280

It was clearly an older hotel, but generally clean. The beds were older and not very comfortable. The first room we stayed in was very humid and had a smell of mildew. They moved us to a different room that was a little better. The high rating that I saw before booking didn’t match with my experience.

Clean room, good breakfast, and helpful staff. Also, check in was really quick and the rooms were exactly how they were advertised.

Very frustrating and staff was confrontational when I asked about why she charged me for so many transactions… possible fraudulent charges but will work with the bank in the AM on this issue.

Not sure when was the last time someone reviewed the place that had actually stayed there. Poorly maintained, dirty overall from years of neglectful cleaning. Lamp shades that had been hot glued back together multiple times and still falling apart, and rotting material around the tub. The bathroom door would not even open all the way because the shower rod blocked it, but there was also some loud whistling noise from the bathroom area that kept me awake all night. I went to get on the elevator (I weight 135#) and the elevator dropped down another inch with the door still open, scary. The pillows were horrible; they were nothing but knots the size of baking potatoes. The entire 3rd floor smelled like skunk weed and cigarillos and was noisy. When I went to leave a car was parked so close to me, that literally could not get in. I took a picture of the tag and showed it to the front desk. Turns out it was her car, the employee, that had blocked me in. To sum it up, I wanted to sleep in my shoes, and would never stay at any of their hotels again.

They kept my deposit for something I know nothing about. Saying pink dye was in the tub. Well rust was in the tub too!

THE ROOM WAS NICE,AND STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY.

Room was decent. Nothing special. AC worked well. Staff was sufficient not overly friendly. But was close by to Grandview Medical. We were up and out early so we did not have breakfast.
