The shower/bathtub had a lot of rust and hardwater stains. We did need maintenance on a toilet that wouldn’t flush and they were timely and fixed the problem.
-
Everything was great and good customer service
-
Left early did not have breakfast No handles to hold on in bath tub
-
Location was only about 8 mins from concert Venue (Avondale Brewing Company) Has eating and Walmart near to grab a few things if needed. Hall Floors needed cleaning free from visual stains, but ok for an overnight stay. Felt Safe as well.

Good place, safe and clean. Will stay again.
-
Bathtub was very slippery. I fell once and bought a bath mat to avoid it happening again.
-
Had to change rooms, they smelled moldy
-
Place was clean, staff was helpful, but there was no soap, shampoo, or conditioner in the room.
-
Location Old, loud AC units, smelly and wet carpets, not as clean.
-
The property was decent.

The old adage "you get what you pay for" couldn't be more true for this hotel... but it really was more like a motel. My first impression was they could care less about customer service because no one was at the front desk to greet me when I checked in (or when I went to check out). I waited several minutes for someone to come to the desk even after ringing the bell they had at their counter. As for the hotel itself, there is a funky smell throughout the hotel. The smell was strong even in the room. The smell is a combination of mold with an orange cleaner. The bed sheets and some of the towels were stained. I also don't recommend you walk around without shoes or slides because the carpets look and feel grimy. In fairness, I was just driving through Birmingham on my way to Florida and just wanted something cheap to sleep and get up early the next morning to continue on my way. But had I known the condition of the this hotel, I would have looked for something else.

We stayed in Room 302. Door hard to open and couldn’t close bathroom door at all. Breakfast was good and staff was nice.
-
Outside of hotel looked nice. Inside was dated. Room AC was not working properly. It took a while to cool down. Breakfast was ok.
-
Breakfast was delicious with decent options. Breakfast area was kept clean and stocked. Room was updated and clean. Bed was comfortable. Shower was nice.

Cleaness
-
My room had a fowl order. The bathroom appeared to have a sewer order in the morning. My room was on the first floor. The bed area had a mildew type of smell. But, the bathroom smell got worse. I was afraid to wash or shower.

Customer service is a critical part of the hospitality industry, and unfortunately this hotel fell far short of even basic expectations. Management should invest in comprehensive customer service training and place a greater emphasis on professionalism, communication, and guest satisfaction. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this property.

The smell
-
Being able to open. I’m glad I did because housekeeping decided to try and enter my room while I was still asleep this morning. I discovered this when I was leaving my room to check out.

The room was clean, and the staff was helpful. The room had a decent sized mini fridge . However, the room had many issues. The bathroom sink had a huge crack in it. The shower curtain look like it went through a battlefield, it was so tattered at the top. Does it really cost a lot to change a shower curtain out? I believe the whole place had a issue with humidity. Our room became very damp. The lamps in the room didn't light up fully. The sheer curtain in our room had a rip in it and the blackout curtain had a dirty smudge on it. We noticed several bugs in the room during our stay (not bed bugs). The pool was definitely a plus, but the access hours were very restrictive. In all fairness, the maintenance manager did offer to have us switch to another room. However, we were already settled in and decided to ride it out.
