Hampton Inn & Suites Birmingham East Irondale

The hostess who greeted me upon arrival and departure were extremely kind and pleasant making me feel not only welcome but like we had known each other for years. Very nice and inviting Thank you

Staff were all kind and pleasant Older and funky. Ripped wallpaper, dirty spots in bathroom, out of the way location

Bathroom had a used towel left on the back of the door. There was some sort of nightlight plugged into the bathroom wall. Outside of shower door was not clean. Had soap scum and mildew along the outside edges.

However the property is tired. Room was huge and clean but damp the hallways were humid and more damp pool out of service and empty and breakfast was mediocre.

Close to restaurants and airport Room wasn't very clean

Room was a little run down no key card was working.

Nice size room, good breakfast Dirty closes in closet, used soap in shower, sticky soda spray on night stand, batteries dead in remote.

The view was great! The elevators were sketchy. Size of the bathroom was amazing. The bed was uncomfortable. Overall clean and friendly.

There was a problem with our room but was quickly resolved. We were allowed a one hour late check out. I will stay at this property again

The shower was not clean. We had to be moved in the morning to a new room.

It was an overnight stay. Very friendly & helpful staff. Clean room. Only complaint, the king size bed. My husband & I woke up with back aches from the mattress. 😢 It was very uncomfortable.

It was warm, clean and inviting That the pool was under construction

I canceled the room because wasn't told the pool wasn't available. My kids and only pick this hotel because the pool are indoors. Once I went to check in the room wasn't ready and that's when I found out the pool wasn't working. I request f9r a refund because if I had of known the pool was out of service I would have never book the room. I didn't find out until check in and the room wasn't ready even though I got an email that said it was. Just bad overall experience with booking. Com and hilton.

Exceptional

The main area is very hot...pool undergoing maintenence....staff was very limited and very hard to reach. I went down to the desk and called several times with no luck. I even had to help an older gentleman search for staff because he and his wife were locked out of their room. The elevator is very rickety and several guests were commenting on how terrible and scary it sounded. The service maintenence slip is not inside the elevator it says its in the managers office. I would like to know when the elevator was last serviced. The bathroom floor was extremely sticky and I had a small area of dried blood on my blanked and my dad had blood spots on his pillow. Trash from the main hall was overflowing ..the doors on the 3rd floor slammed all night & morning. No apps on TV just basic channels. Room service is apparently every other day so we services our own room. I went through the hilton honors app to chat with staff...seemed like the fastest way to get a response. Ill stop there. The best amenities were the ice machine lol and the breakfast was fine overall.

People were very friendly and helpful.
