Grand Bohemian Mountain Brook, Autograph Collection

We love The Grand Bohemian! Definitely our favorite place to stay in the Birmingham area. They have such a great location, food, and bar! Will definitely be staying again.

Taking the elevator up to our room, our porter pointed out that access to guest rooms are secured by a valid room card, and access throughout the hotel is secured in this fashion, giving us peace of mind throughout our stay. Our room on the third floor was well-appointed, and had easy access to the Habitat restaurant in the hotel, which was a treat in its own right. The variety and interesting menu options gave this restaurant an intriguing option for dining, and the staff were superb. In addition to our extremely comfortable and well decorated room, the bathroom was a pure delight with instant hot water, plenty of fresh towels, a well planned layout, and a built in ledge in the shower that my wife greatly appreciated. The housekeeping staff were extraordinary as well, providing daily service and extra water and a turn down service with chocolates in the evening. It’s also worth mentioning the hotel hosts an exquisite art gallery and also a spa on the ground floor that are well worth a visit. Truly a first class hotel in a first class area.

Hotel is amazing. Location is great. Perfect for a girls weekend with many restaurants and shops within walking distance. The room was not as promised by Booking.com. The listing said it had a pull out sleeper sofa bed, but that doesn’t even exist at this hotel. The hotel was apologetic, but we were forced to take a room with different sleeping arrangements than expected.

Close to botanical gardens—within walking distance. Clean rooms. Near shopping and restaurants.

The location was great, but the property was run down and poorly kept, especially for the price of the room.

Be aware that rooms are not at all sound proof. I was kept up all night hearing the loud and frequent activities of the people next door. Management did not seem to care.

What a fantastic gem to find in Birmingham! Beautiful lobby, delicious food, a spa and convenience. But as always, when traveling, it’s the staff that make the difference. From being greeted so nicely when I arrived to the front desk staff providing smiles and laughs, to going above and beyond to meet any requests, I found the staff to be outstanding. Would happily stay here again.
