The old adage "you get what you pay for" couldn't be more true for this hotel... but it really was more like a motel. My first impression was they could care less about customer service because no one was at the front desk to greet me when I checked in (or when I went to check out). I waited several minutes for someone to come to the desk even after ringing the bell they had at their counter. As for the hotel itself, there is a funky smell throughout the hotel. The smell was strong even in the room. The smell is a combination of mold with an orange cleaner. The bed sheets and some of the towels were stained. I also don't recommend you walk around without shoes or slides because the carpets look and feel grimy. In fairness, I was just driving through Birmingham on my way to Florida and just wanted something cheap to sleep and get up early the next morning to continue on my way. But had I known the condition of the this hotel, I would have looked for something else.

Breakfast was delicious with decent options. Breakfast area was kept clean and stocked. Room was updated and clean. Bed was comfortable. Shower was nice.

My room had a fowl order. The bathroom appeared to have a sewer order in the morning. My room was on the first floor. The bed area had a mildew type of smell. But, the bathroom smell got worse. I was afraid to wash or shower.

Customer service is a critical part of the hospitality industry, and unfortunately this hotel fell far short of even basic expectations. Management should invest in comprehensive customer service training and place a greater emphasis on professionalism, communication, and guest satisfaction. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this property.

Being able to open. I’m glad I did because housekeeping decided to try and enter my room while I was still asleep this morning. I discovered this when I was leaving my room to check out.

The room was clean, and the staff was helpful. The room had a decent sized mini fridge . However, the room had many issues. The bathroom sink had a huge crack in it. The shower curtain look like it went through a battlefield, it was so tattered at the top. Does it really cost a lot to change a shower curtain out? I believe the whole place had a issue with humidity. Our room became very damp. The lamps in the room didn't light up fully. The sheer curtain in our room had a rip in it and the blackout curtain had a dirty smudge on it. We noticed several bugs in the room during our stay (not bed bugs). The pool was definitely a plus, but the access hours were very restrictive. In all fairness, the maintenance manager did offer to have us switch to another room. However, we were already settled in and decided to ride it out.

Door to go outside did not lock.. other things were good.. clean and restaurants close.. would stay here again..

A variety of breakfast options from day to day for guests who stay multiple days would enhance the overall breakfast experience. The hot food items, such as eggs and sausages could be rotated with scrambled eggs and bacon or hash browns.

The hotel had a terrible smell that I just couldn’t get past. The rooms were hot like the air was on and loud but it wasn’t cooling it off.

Really enjoyed our stay. Great breakfast. Very nice rooms and comfy beds.

Really good spot for a work trip. Nice pool, nice staff, safe clean property! Not a honeymoon destination, but awesome for safe comfy short stays.
-
Cleanliness. Could smell the smoke since people were smoking at the entrance all the time.
-
Hard bed. Elevator stunk of weed smoke. Breakfast was ok.
-
Carpet was wet, like they shampooed, but smelled very bad. The carpet left a terrible smell on shoes and you could not walk barefoot.

We stayed four nights as we prepped for our daughter’s wedding. The staff were so helpful and provided everything we needed.

Great location and clean rooms that were cleaned every night

Good for a one nights stay. Staff is friendly and breakfast is decent. Rooms could use some maintenance.
