Came to town and stayed at AKA during a work trip. Check-in was a breeze and staff was super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable ….rooms look modern and refreshed, which is nice. There’s a lot of older hotels in this area. We also had drinks with colleagues at the bar downstairs and it was a nice time so all in all great little Hotel.

    Awesome

The rooms in the hotel are spacious, the bathrooms are good size, and the design is modern and the building seems to be recently renovated. I had the basic King bed room. The bed and the bedding were very comfortable. The chair in the room was super comfortable too. There is a Nespresso machine in the room and enough pods supplied for a day. I appreciated the hooks in the bathroom and outside of it. My room did not have a desk and some of the wall outlets are weirdly placed. Since the hotel is in a busy area and next door to a bar, Beantown, it could get a bit loud at night. As for the amenities: I did not get to see the gym - just because I was too busy walking around. I tried the hotel's restaurant for breakfast and the food was delicious. Some food recommendations around the hotel: baked goods- Bakey; healthy fast food -Dig Inn; speakeasy: Wigs, bar: Beantown. Great stay overall.

Really just missed the mark for us with so many little things... main front door entry locked and had to walk around to side street to enter the hotel in the evening. Plug outlets in the room both loose and switches sticky-taped to the side table night stand... $69 resort fee, while disclosed up front, got us nothing as we didn't use the gym. Had to ask for water from the front desk as none was put in the room. Small bar - empty at 9pm on Friday and Saturday evening. Traffic jam on a one-car wide side street to enter valet parking despite the best efforts of the valet guys. And the room itself, while "fine" was a premium-upgrade priced room that was not wide enough to hold a dresser. No table to put your things on when entering the room. Television would not connect to my phone's Netflix no matter how much I tried and followed the son screen instructions. Room had remote window screens which was nice but they could not be individually controlled --so all were up or all were down. So many little things that a luxury hotel should make seamless it just didn't cut it. Great central location, clean and obviously recently re-done, elevators were fast, staff were friendly and helpful, but it just 'missed'.

Exceptional facility and location. Staff was kind and helpful. I was very impressed.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Everything was great, would stay again. Loved the free wine at 4:00. My only negative was that our "city view" was only if we looked up the side of the building. Straight out our window was another building, so double check.

The location was amazing but the add the additional experience were expensive I got one drink at there at there bar and it was 20 dollars they had a mini bar in your room but not paying those prices 18 bucks for a small cocktail. But again if you looking for location and convenience this hotel is great

Nice rooms, great ypgrades offered, central location, valet parking. We definitely will be back.

The weekend we went was so busy there weren't any double queen rooms available. The staff was so helpful by giving us a room that accommodated a rollaway bed at no extra charge. In addition, our flight was well past checkout. Normally the hotel would have provided a complimentary noon checkout, but the entire hotel was booked the day we were leaving. Again, the staff stepped up and said it was no problem for them to hold our luggage until we checked out much later that afternoon. With little upgrades like an in-room Nespresso machine, comfortable and stylish beds, as well as a complimentary happy hour we were more than happy with our decision to stay. Of note, we never heard outside noises or any from the hallway like some places. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't say enough positive things about this hotel.

Nice hotel, clean, but uncomfortable beds.

Complications at check-in, but the staff made it right with restaurant credits and an upgrade. Exceptionally clean and quiet facility right on the Freedom Trail and across the street from Boston Common. Our young family was ultimately very pleased!

Room was very clean and cute!

    Great location. Walkable to everything.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

We came in at 1:30pm to try to early check in and they said that they would call when the room was ready. It became 4pm (official check in time) and we made it back to the hotel and our room STILL wasn’t ready. At 4:45pm we finally got our room. When we got in our room there was beard hairs all over the sink and vanity. The floors were sticky in the room. At least the staff was very friendly!

Nice stay, basic, clean comfortable. Valet parking was good.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

We had a fantastic stay! Great location, friendly staff. My only complaint would be the 4pm check in time. It is very late for people who need a spot to drop their luggage and freshen up! Otherwise it was great!

Hotel was nice but could use some updates for four stars, including that the walls shouldn’t be so scuffed up, and the bathroom floors/tiles not so nice. The room was very dark, not a bright light or view situation, if that’s important to you.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

The staff very friendly and helpful.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

It was so bright I couldn’t sleep. Apparently, there was a remote on the wall. It looks like a light switch and no one informed me there was a remote, and there was no sign . I couldn’t get there light on the nightstand to turn on and the light in the room was so very dimming I called the front desk. No one answered. The next day, the toilet wouldn’t flush they had to come fix that. Also, there was mold in the shower. For the price I paid almost $1100 for two nights it’s not worth the advertise as a luxury hotel but it was nowhere near a luxury hotel
