Omni Parker House

We loved this hotel! The staff were amazing, Heidi who checked us in at a completely unreasonable time, was so helpful and handled even my crankiest traveler very well! The hotel itself is beautiful and sits in the perfect location for walking all over the city. Definitely recommend staying here! The onsite restaurants and bars were fantastic, great food and drinks, and wonderful staff.

Beautiful hotel. Enriched in history. Tons of staff. All are professional and polite. Awesome amenities to include free bottled water, coffee and iced coffee stations on most floors, free grab and go breakfast on departure day, among other events. “Historical” comes with a couple findings: Room sizes vary greatly, from large, to standard, to small…(like very small). I Inquired on night 1 whether we were placed in a Deluxe category room as reserved due to our room being under 200sq ft. The staff explained we were in fact in a deluxe category room and acknowledged that due to the hotel being “historic”, “room sizes do vary greatly”. We decided after one night we paid WAY too much to be this cramped in a TINY room. I went to the front desk at 7AM and explained further that we were simply too tight in our assigned room. We were literally stepping over our luggage. We were then upgraded to a King Deluxe room without any issue. The KING deluxe room was great, but nothing more than a “standard” hotel room. I’d have the same room at a Holiday Inn. I believe they said it was 280 sq ft. There was also a loud banging sound 24 hours a day that I believe was coming from elevators. The Parker House Restaurant was okay at best. The service was poor (but this seemed to be a common theme during our 5 days in Boston). The Last Hurrah had a great bar menu, but was “at capacity” at nearly all open hours. I’d book this hotel again for cleanliness and mainly location. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

The shower room was badly designed! Too big a sink located by the toilet. This would not suit a larger waisted guest - would have to squeeze between corner of shower and corner of sink to access the toilet pan! Also the glass shelf by the toilet pan was not ideally positioned as got knocked on several occasions. It was noted that not all rooms - despite same cost - had the same facilities ie no coffee maker. The light "switch" was not present, only the screw within! Also strong smell of lift oil along corridor perhaps recently serviced? Directional room signs could be more evident with the 3D lettering on room numbers being painted - not clearly visible,therefore, not ideal for the poorly sighted. The above has been commented by guest with a background in hospitality.

Location and its history. Liked everything

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet it had a wonderful selection to chose from. The location was very convenient for shopping and walking, the hotel its self was beautifully designed with lots of history in it.

We booked a “deluxe” room. After dropping our luggage off in the room, heading to Salem for dinner, retuning for a nightcap at The Last Hurrah (great bartender btw,) we discovered that there was no coffee maker in our room. The young man at the front desk explained that ALL “deluxe” rooms don’t come with a coffee maker. That the hotel is a “historic” property and the room to which we were assigned could not fit a coffee maker. Hmmm after a few minutes of me laughing, the young man assigned us to a room with enough space for a coffee maker. Other than that ridiculous episode, everything else was perfect. Great bed, unbeatable location, friendly bartender…AND coffee to boot.

Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, from the valet to the bell hop to the front desk, everyone greeted us with a smile and a warm welcome. The history of the hotel, much of which is displayed, is a huge positive that drew me to the hotel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with good modern amenities but kept much of the historical feel when walking around. The location is excellent and makes many sights very walkable. The last hurrah bar might be the best hotel bar I have ever been to. The atmosphere is phenomenal with big comfy chairs my family and I could sit at and people watch while having some drinks. The price of the hotel was extremely high and precluded my family and I from staying more than one night. Had it been just a little lower, we probably would have stayed two nights.

🏨 It’s a huge, historic hotel with so much character and history. You can really feel that you’re staying somewhere with stories behind it. 🛁 Our bathroom was luxe, the room was spacious and the bed was huge and super comfortable. 🍽️ Room service was quite expensive, but honestly, that was probably my only real negative. ✨ We absolutely loved our stay here and would happily come back. The history, atmosphere and little details made it feel like much more than just a hotel.

A Grand place to stay with history right out the door! We enjoyed a Boston Cream Pie Martini and the famous Boston Cream Pie and Parker House rolls!! Delicious! We enjoyed breakfast sitting next to the JFK table where he proposed to Jackie. They offer very good coffee only on 2 floors and had available robes to get it. I gave them 4 Stars because the bathroom barn style doors bleed a lot of light into the room if used in the night. I would still recommend.

Beautiful and quiet with easy access to all of Boston. And the beds were so comfortable

Only had Dinner there but food was very good. Staff was awesome! Bathroom was tiny. Surprised by the small size.

Great location right next to Boston Common and the Freedom Trail. The hotel lobby felt grand, as though you’re stepping back in time. The bed was super comfy and in a good sized room. The bathroom was nice, although the shower was absolutely tiny. Overall, a good stay.
