Holiday Inn University Plaza-Bowling Green by IHG

There was renovation going on otherwise it would have been excellent on all categories.

The property was clean and staff was very friendly. The property was undergoing renovation at the time of our stay. The location is very convenient to restaurants and we were surprised there was a golf course next door.

This is a nice hotel with spacious rooms. The hotel is remodeling now. Our room was completely renovated with new furniture and decor.

I was told via a message that the property was under construction. I had no idea it was being gutted. Half of the outlets in our room did not work. Ice machines were only working on level 4, 5, and 6; however, 4 and 5 did not work for me. The final straw was dog urine in the elevator. I requested that the hotel just let me cancel the second night’s reservation, but they declined.

A free continental breakfast is the only thing that would make this hotel better. Otherwise, top notch!

The hotel is undergoing a MAJOR renovation that’s seems to touch every single floor. Temp breakfast room, no ice machines, etc. going to be nice when completed but probably should have been warned when booking

We got up the next morning and had no hot water, but they were doing a lot of upgrades on the property. The young Lady at the front desk was exceptional! So very nice and professional. Over all I would give it a 10 on location and a place to rest.

Hotel was being renovated, but still functioned well. We stayed in a redone room, and it was clean and lovely. A great stop during a road trip! Pool was good as well!

The combination of construction noise we couldn’t sleep on the 26th around 3 PM. There’s no hot water in the morning in the 27th. There was also no coffee available in the complementary coffee pot and no one available to have them get some more.

The hotel is currently under renovation and our stay here during this time was not in any way enjoyable. The pool was closed during this time which was not reported or announced in any way before, the newly renovated room had multiple issues, mini fridge outlet not working, white/chalky water from the mini bar sink, multiple trips from housekeeping to get the correct bedding for pullout couch etc. was not an enjoyable/acceptable stay for us.

The property was nice and the staff were friendly. It was under construction so it was hard to get around and noisy at times.

Passable

This hotel is undergoing a major renovation and we were not informed until a few days prior to our visit. We were placed in newly renovated room which was very nice. Unfortunately, there was a waterline break in the hotel the morning we were planning to check out and the water was turned off withiut warning. I had already showered, but my husband had not. He had to go to another hotel to get cleaned up. While it was inconvenient, I would like to commend the staff for going above the call and dealing with the issue in an upfront and very courteous and competent manner. I would definitely stay here again once the renovation has been completed.

Was under construction when we arrived but looks like it will be very nice when finished. We did have a renovated room. It was nice. Tub was not replaced and it should have been. Otherwise very nice room.

Disappointing

Staff was okay. Had to argue to have undisclosed paid parking waived. Hotel was under construction and smelled like paint and drywall. Amenities were all closed, also not disclosed online ahead of time. Gym, while open, was at 89 degrees throughout the weekend despite being reported to staff for resolution. Room itself was nice. Location was good.

Kendra the hostess at breakfast was FANTASTIC. Very polite, friendly got me my coffee lol Pool could have been open. But we understand. Hotel is getting a new fresh look
