Grand Oaks Hotel

I reserved a room. It was costing me $201 when I show up. I find out that they'll charge you an extra $100 just in case of something stolen or damaged. But if nothing is damaged or stolen, they'll refund your money. I will never stay at this hotel again. I canceled my reservation and found a better hotel with better prices.

Our room in the second building was disgusting - long black hair on the wall of the shower. A hair tie left on the floor. A cap from a deodorant was under the bed. It made us seriously question if the room was clean at all. The pools don’t open until 9 am but a staff member doesn’t open the doors until after 9:15 (a big deal with kiddos). The gym and indoor pool are in building one, the outdoor pool is at building two. The breakfast was what you’d expect from a hotel. The only pleasant part was the gentleman who checked us in. He was great at explaining the property. We will not stay here again though.

Nice hotel, great location, great price, room was clean. Breakfast was okay, the same every day.

Every thing and every one was great. I will stay again. Handicap rooms were great. They’re coming to my mom very well with everything she needed. The only thing I would do is have more handicap. Upfront parking.

Loved the jacuzzi room !!

Near the tanger mall,seven brew, and several attractions and restaurants in walking distance from the hotel.

The night staff while we checked in seems like he wasnt happy but the rooms were ok but the breakfast oh my goodness it wasnt thst great and I even told the staff about the juice machine snd it was just water.

The variety at Breakfast was good. Room was clean. We did not use the outdoor pool since it was outside building 2, we did use the indoor pool. Pool water was a bit cloudy, not sure what was going on with that. Overall, it was a nice hotel for the money.

Staff was amazing and helpful!

Staff: friendly and helpful. It was very clean. The breakfast was the same but good. Indoor pool, hot tub, laundry, and workout room was nice. Room had fridge,microwave,small coffee machine. Walmart was across the street and VERY close to the Tanger outlet. The location is midway between the west and east point of the theater district I would definitely recommend this hotel. (Please water the flowers).

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good as well. The only thing we didn’t like, was that because there were 2 buildings, we had to go to the main building to request more towels when we needed them. The main building was kind of far from the second building. Other than that the hotel was great.

The breakfast items were more to choose from than what I had in mind! Great!

Hotel over all was clean, staff was nice. Breakfast was the same option every day. Would have been nice to have a little switch up for people staying multiple days.

I really wanted to give this place the 5th star, but I dropped one due to a few things. The good: hotel was clean, safe, quiet, located in a centralized place in town close to plenty of attractions and food. The water pressure in the shower was good (I swear half the hotels these days don't have good pressure) and endless hot water. The room was spacious, but I would have given up some of the room for a little bit bigger bathroom. Everything was clean and comfortable. The pools were open and clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I loved the fact that I could barely hear people in the hallways while inside my room without having to stuff a towel at the bottom. Now the bad: maybe not super bad, but just a bit inconvenient, but to get into the gym you need to specifically tell them you want access or else your card won't work. Another complaint would be the water spots and mold spots that are dotted here and there on the ceilings. Honestly, it would be an easy fix if they just change those out and would make the place look even cleaner. Lastly, I'm not sure what the deal was but we had the ac turned off down as far as it would go at 60 and the humidity would just not go away so I didnt sleep well at all because I would wake up sweating. I only live an hour and a half away so I'm used to this heat and humidity. But lordy it was bad. Overall though, I'd give this place a solid 4 stars.

#1 We checked in on Fri and housekeeping didn't clean our room till Monday and it was just bringing fresh towels and emptying trash. #2 the outdoors pool was way over by building 2 down the hill. But, with that being said, it was a nice hotel,very clean and we would definitely stay there again. Price was reasonable.

We did check out the indoor pool looked clean and so did the hot tub. The breakfast was excellent and staff very friendly. Our room was very clean with plenty of towels and wash cloths for our 3 night stay. We would stay again.
