Beautiful rooms in great neighborhood. Pleasant staff.

• If you don't mind a fifteen or so minute walk across the bridge to Queens and the subway, the location is an amazing NYC hidden secret—only a couple of stops and you're in midtown Manhattan • Lovely views from the roof bar at night • Funky decor, fun, artsy vibe • Clean, comfortable, modern rooms CONS: • Attached bar/restaurant has unreliable hours—our flight arrived late so we were famished and ready for a meal, the restaurant was supposed to be open but closed instead, then we discovered many of the walkable neighborhood eateries are closed by 10pm • Rooftop "rules" were unclear—we almost got locked/trapped on the roof all night as we were sitting out of sight of the staff and they locked the door back to the elevator

It was quiet during the day .There was a sky bar/dance floor on the top of the hotel so a lot of noise at night. I would have liked to have know this prior to booking. Otherwise everything else was great. The Bartender,Dave, was fantastic !!!

Great location to visit family in Greenpoint. Convenient and comfortable. It can get loud on the weekends with parties on the roof and traffic.

My daughter had trouble sleeping the first night and she was given another room which suited her better which was great Breakfast was good and had good choice but the same every day

It's a charming quirky hotel with friendly staff. We are coming back

Everything All pork products for breakfast. Lacks diversity

Overall excellence. No complaints.

Pleasant staff. The bed frame which is not covered by a bed skirt needs a really good clean, it was black in some highly visible areas when it should be a brass color. Also, the toilet bowl had splattered urine stains around the rim. Not what one expects to see when one lifts up the toilet seat.

Short uber ride away to our wedding venue Comfortable bed Quiet Deli shop in the corner Cheap 1-ply toilet paper. We forgot our toothbrushes and asked if they have complimentary ones and they said they didn't. No complimentary toiletries (i.e. shower cap, sewing kit, toothbrush/paste in case you forget yours). We did not try their breakfast or visited their rooftop so we have no opinion on those areas. Street parking, otherwise there is a LAZ parking garage about 5mins walk away. Room space is definitely for 2 people max.

The staff were great. The room is spacious by NYC standards and was very nicely decorated with som interesting touches. I like the ceiling fan and windows that open. A lot of hotels glass you in with nothing but air conditioning, which I hate when it’s beautiful weather outside. I really liked the Box House.

This is the second time we have stayed at the box house hotel and it is definitely one of our favorite places we have stayed in Brooklyn to date. The rooms are cozy, quiet, and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and for a Brooklyn hotel it is a good deal. The ONLY thing is with public transit from the train, you have to walk across the pulaski bridge, which wasn't too big of a deal for us but there are stairs and it's something to consider for accessibility. Small things: I think our room was supposed to be a queen but the bed was definitely a full and there was a weird stain in the hallway on the carpet! But overall these things did not impact our stay and we enjoy this hotel a lot, will definitely stay again!!

Great hotel, stayed here for a few days during the World Cup, cost was high due to that reason, but the hotel was clean, nice staff, excellent bar and breakfast, room was good for two of us with our little boy, 15 minute walk to either the ferry terminal or the G line station, would definitely stay here again.

Excellent place to stay. Convenient, quiet, and very classy.

Have stayed here several times. Great location. Great rooms. Great property.
-
Location and overall vibe There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. I just have stayed here a few times in the past and the rooms are starting to show some wear and tear. My room didn’t feel as clean as it had in the past.

Close to wedding venue Was in a 2 suites on the “old” side of hotel that staff knew was booked for the bridal party & bride & groom. Was never told it was a 3rd floor walk up so was very disappointing to find that all items (cases of champagne, water, food, photography equipment etc) had to be carried up by hand in 93 degree weather!!

beautiful hotel not cleaned to my expectations and the price per night
