Magnuson Hotel Extended Stay Canton Ohio

No coffee pot, no tv except for in the bed room the first hotel we stayed in at least had theses items, and on top of that the place I believe has fleas

Property was extremely outdated and dirty. I complained about our rooms. Air conditioning, not working correctly two different days, and the staff did nothing about it. So we stayed in a room that was seventy five degrees plus in the evening. I feel the money I spent, was not okay!

The room definitely didn't look like the pix, the hot tub wasn't very clean and kinda falling apart (handle) and the casting around the tub. The people above us Kept running up and down the stairs all night, scratching in the walls,only slept like 5 hours in the 2 days I was there and also the morning of check out a mouse ran across the room. Only good thing there wasn't any bugs no roaches or bed bugs that I saw.

Suite was large, and clean. Not gorgeous but well worth what I paid for it. It did have mice. It’s that time of year, and we told the staff as we left. The staff were polite and helpful.

There are MICE here. My kids and I were terrified because we saw three running across the kitchen as well as the bedroom. There are holes and gaps everywhere. The door also has cracks in it that leaves rooms for anything to get inside. The staff was nonchalant and you could tell they were used to them. The owner was called by the front desk staff and said they don’t do refunds and offered to switch rooms but we were already checking out. I also asked for a copy of my complaint so that I could dispute the previous night and they said they wouldn’t even do that. Very poor management! As we were leaving I notified someone of the mice as they came into the office and they said there was one in their room last night as well. CLEARLY there is an infestation. The owner said it’s not their problem but it is!! They should be maintaining the property and updating the units. There are all sorts of entrances for anything to come inside! I do not recommend staying here unless you are okay with mice.

Feels like a home! Staff is very helpful and nice. Room was very clean and the area is quiet.

Room smelled a little musty, but the blankets smelled fresh from the dryer. I did bleach/disinfect the jacuzzi tub and shower before we used them.

This is more like a Motel than a hotel.

This property was clean, but very old & in disrepair. Most notably, our non-smoking room smelled very badly of smoke. In fact, all of our items now smell like smoke. The office was closed when we go there, but luckily, someone came to the door & was responsive. We received no info on wifi, gym, & there was not even a TV in the room. The couch was torn & in very bad repair. There was lots of space including a kitchen. There are walkable food places nearby. It looks like bots are overinflating the rating at this property. It is certainly is not a 10/10.

I booked two separate reservations at Magnuson. Unfortunately, both required cancellations. Therefore, I cannot rate the property itself since I didn't actually stay. The outside was well-kept and well- lit. What I can rate is the absolutely stellar help I received from Meg, of the Magnuson staff, who helped me with both reservation cancellations. I can't thank her enough. The first cancellation, on June 11th, happened after midnight. Meg was so patient and understanding. She waited until I could reach the customer service desk and then receive a call from them to verify cancellation. She could have told me to deal with it later, but she did not. Sumit, from Expedia, was also extremely helpful in getting the matter sorted and processed at that time. Customer Service is all about who you get, and I appreciate both Meg and Sumit for their assistance in managing the June 11th cancellation and refund and Meg and Rochelle, from Expedia, who assisted with the June 26th cancellation. Kudos to them for the positive outcomes in both situations.

Rooms are very “in used condition”. The upstairs unit was very loud. Will stay somewhere else next trip, even if paying more.

Close to where I needed to be Walsh University Dirty, smelled, leaking water from the ducts, no sheets on bed, staff was rude, no one was there at check out, having trouble getting refund from checking out a day early due to room not being at standard n sanitary to be inside. Could not use jacuzzi due to being dirty n wife got cut trying to go inside due to broken tiles

I just didn't like the stairs they're going up the stairs but it was fine I'm overweight so I need the exercise

Nothing Foul odor, dilapidated conditions

Hotel is in a great location and easy to get to even with road construction going on in the area. We were greeted with a smile and she was very helpful. We asked to see the room first which she did. We liked the size of the room and it had a kitchen too. The tub in the bedroom was just what the wife wanted. I think one light bulb was out and I forgot to let the staff know about it. There was no coffe maker which we can’t live without. The girl fixed us up with a small one and it worked out fine. Thank You! Kevin Smith

We stayed in town for two nights for a tournament. Walking inside, there was a musty smell we had to air out. There must have been units upstairs, the stairs went right above our bedroom closet where there is zero insulation or noise cancellation. So at 3am when they went in and outside, it sounded like a herd of elephants.
