Could have done a better job

The stay was really nice with great views and location. They offered a FREE shuttle to and from a little (kind of) private but still public section of the South Ponto Beach. The pool was really nice and so was the hot tub!The only thing we didn't like was the $46 (basic) breakfast that's NOT included but was still not bad considering it was California prices. Overall great stay for the price and great location by the beach (walking distance)

This is a cute little hotel by the ocean. Although we were only there for 2 nights, our stay was jam packed at Legoland. Had we more time, we would have taken advantage of nearby beach access and enjoyed the ocean even more. Our room was cute, a few spots in the bathroom needed more cleaning attention and there are signs of an aging hotel. The carpets in the halls are understandably dirty from foot traffic, but quite noticeable if you’re looking down. Beds were comfortable, however we could hear the neighbor snore and the upstairs guests jumping around, which means they probably heard our loud conversations, haha. Reasonable price for ocean views and overall nice place.

Great overall experience. Beautiful location, We rented a car at the airport less than a hour drive. clean room and property, professional and friendly staff from the minute we arrived, until we checked out. One polite suggestion I would make, is to have more hooks in the room and/or bathroom, for beach towels and damp bathing suits. It was a wonderful stay for my family of 5.

Exceptional

The hotel is well located across from the ocean which we would walk along every morning. Our room was very clean and attractive. Bed comfortable. Refrigerator and microwave. Could use two chairs instead of one. Nice view of the garden and pool area. Chairs outside by fire place area too large and uncomfortable for 5 for 3 inch self. Attractive looking lobby with a pleasant "Coast " restaurant. No free breakfast but several breakfast choices or a small buffet. Main issue was only one elevator at each side toward back of building. Awkward to get into building and walk to room. Need to add a lobby elevator. Must pay $20 for parking and use card to access in and out of parking lot.

They had a very small food area with chips and sun screen and no cash :( only credit . The staff was friendly

This is an exceptional room and reason we keep returning to this hotel. Even the partial view room is wonderful with balcony & chaise to lounge on. The rooms are clean and cozy with ocean waves in the background helping you sleep. The staff is very friendly and helped us stay longer than we planned. The continental breakfast was so creative and delicious. We also enjoyed the beach chair and umbrella service included in stay. They had a happy hour with live music by the pool. What is not to love about this hotel!

It had a pool and Jacuzzi When it was time for us to go into our room, our room smelled like sewer very very bad. They gave us another room when it was time to go to bed. It was very difficult to sleep. The toilet water kept running every three minutes, and the bed was very uncomfortable was very hard.

Location Location Location Well it was our 40th anniversary and they couldn't accommodate a room with a view and we were told at check in that we would receive a special package for our anniversary and never received it

Location was pretty good with walking path for people who can walk significant distances. The benches were covered with bird poop. The outside grass area cushions were filthy. The coffee was empty every single day and you had to wait for it to be replenished. When we went to check in they didn’t have a room and explained that they overbook and the person helping had to go to a reservationist to get our room. We planned this trip weeks in advance and it was ridiculous that they gave this excuse and for 20 minutes we thought we might not have a room. Never again would we book here.

It was extremely family friendly. Outside area perfect for children with games and area large enough to run around playing. Enjoyed the free shuttle to South Pondo beach with beach butler’s who set up chairs, umbrellas, towels and waters for our day. Restaurant food was good- a little slow for serving large groups (ours was 7-10 each meal). Will be back.

It was nice how it was next to the beach. Clean and well kept. Just needs to be more updated. But overall good for the price and being next to the ocean
