Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach

Great hotel to stay at! The staff was very friendly and helpful and go above and beyond for the guests. The beach is a little bit of a walk but they have a shuttle to the beach for easier access! Pool was good but a LOT of dead bugs. Housekeeping staff is amazingly fast and thourough!

My room was not clean I was also put in a room with a adjoining door, not know why because I did not have any kids. The people that was in the room next to me was so loud the room above me I asked the front desk to ask them to stop walking so hard they continue to do it so eventually, they had to move me to another room. The menu there for breakfast is very limited the evening reception. The drinks are very limited the pool in the hot tub was well maintained. The property was clean. It’s just the other issues that I had with the room. It was my 60th birthday so I wasn’t expecting Ollie‘s things to happen and just the inconvenience of having a move rooms and just just all of that it’s just it was just a lot.

We only stayed for one night, but we had a pleasant experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel is in a very good location close to the beach. The pool area felt a little dated and could benefit from some renovation.

Enough parking and easy to navigate property. We got a beachfront view room, but room windows were a little dirty to have a good view.

Great pool, clean rooms, nice staff. Location was convenient. The hotel charged my card 4 separate charges for 4 different people's reservations (each charge was $450+, $648, and some $800+ charge) The charges were refunded but the staff lied and said it was jsut ghost charges to test the validity of the card but i have never had a hotel make that many charges for those amounts. It was over $2,000 in charges.

Great location, check in staff were great. Beds are old and tired, mattresses need replacing.

On the last morning I was there, the AC vent fell off the wall, took some wallpaper with it, and revealed visible mold growth.

Unfortunately, this hotel did not live up to what we expected based on the photos or the price we paid. The property looks much better online than it does in person, and the overall upkeep was disappointing. The room had several issues. The floor was dirty when we arrived, the shampoo was missing, and even after asking twice to have it refilled, it was never done. There was also a hole in the window screen, although they did fix that after I reported it. Most concerning, I found a bug in the bed. The room was also very noisy. We could hear our neighbors above us and ended up having to call the front desk to complain. There doesn't seem to be much sound insulation between rooms, so you can hear quite a bit. The property itself needs better maintenance. Several of the palm trees had a lot of dead or dying leaves and clearly needed to be trimmed. The gym is extremely small with very limited equipment. On the positive side, the kids really enjoyed the pool, and the hotel is directly across from the beach, which is convenient. However, you do get quite a bit of traffic noise because of the location. Another downside is the parking fee, which was close to $30 per day. For what we paid for the room, I really don't think guests should have to pay that much extra for parking. Overall, I personally wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you can get a really good deal. For the price, I expected a much nicer and better-maintained property. I'd rather spend

The bathtub was very slippery. Foul odor coming from sink on last day. The pool area was not real appealing.

The shuttle to the beach was great! Beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, water, and people checking on you.

Air conditioner was loud, bed was loud, walls are thin or not insulated well, parking is expensive, I don't think the exterior doors ever actually lock, bar closes at 9, the beach is across the street but you have to drive to actually access it

Everything was ok but couldn’t get my room properly cleaned. Couldn’t get coffee cup lids after repeatedly asking staff.

We needed extra towels as there were two adults and two children staying in the room. We showered after the pool then were out of clean towels. There was a staff member in the hallway near our room and she provided extra towels for us.
