Motel 6 Carlsbad, CA - Near Legoland

Stay was Great!! Clean room, close to the beach and Outlets

Based on the rusty shower and holes in the bedding, I fully expected this hotel to have a bug infestation. You can hear the freeway as if the door wasn’t shut. If you have kids, this location is not ideal.

Staff members were great, room cleanliness not so much, needs more work

Most unsupportive and unhelpful place i have ever try to stay. I travel for a living and have never experienced this kind of situation before. I was pulling a small enclosed trailer behind my car because I was helping a friend move their belongings. Every hotel I stayed in previously had no problems with it. In fact the others had several trailers and/or larde heavy duty trucks taking up extra space with no issues. This hotel refused to let me part on the property. They wanted me to park the trailer in the street where it could be stolen or broken into. Fortunately Expedia came to the rescue and I move to a different hotel with no problems.

Clean room , friendly staff

Was no hot water 2 out of the 3 day stay. Also no vanity in bathroom just a sink. No room to even put a shaving kit. Bathroom was high so plenty of room for counter space. Location was great, central to all our activities and Carlsbad Village.

Surprised at how clean the room is. Its fully remodeled and very comfortable! They cleaned our room everyday and gave us clean towels.

At night I saw several bugs in the bathroom

The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and restaurants. The amenities were good, and the overall atmosphere was quiet and relaxing.

Place was thick with black mold and a horrible musty mold smell. Bathrooms not up to par with ventilation. Staff was very rude. It felt dirty, and the lighting was awful in the room. The visible mold in the room made us feel sick. Not up to health code.

Ice machine was not working but dealing with hotel staff was just cut and dry stuff.

The price for the area was good and I spent very little time in the room so I will stay there again during the summer

We were in the area for the County Fair in Del Mar, a must see! The beach vibe is alive and well along San Diego County’s Coastline and Motel 6 was our starting point!: Affordable, convenient and clean!

The room smelled

The room was clean, noisy because the fwy. The stay was good. The staff was friendly. The check in was fast

Nice & clean room with mini fridge/freezer.

Cheap Overpowering mold smell in the room. Hallways smelled like pee and garbage.

It was okay the towels was kind of cheap, not enough

Main problem was that the room wreaked of smoke. Had to leave the door open for a could have hours to air it out. The air conditioner was so noisy that it was difficult to sleep. Cosmetically, the bath tub finish was peeling off. And it would have been nice to have coffee in the morning inside our room. Laundry had been left outside our door when we arrived and nearly in the way of us getting in and out. That’s about it! Room smelled like smoke . Noisy air conditioner on and off all night.
