Motel 6 Carlsbad, CA - Near Legoland

The property canceled my reservation when it was prepaid and I had informed them several times of flight delay

Normally good service but no IS Based support is ridiculous!!!

Room was nice but the Mathias absolutely horrible. Floor was sticky. Paint was peeling. Bathtub was dirty. Not recommended at all.

Not bad for a quick sleep. The motel was close to many food places & gas stations . The area did smell like sewage . The room was clean & smelled clean. Neighbors were a little loud but nothing crazy .

Budget friendly for family of 4. 7 minutes away from Legoland.

Rooms were clean inside but in non smoking room it still smells like smoke. Some people live there and they are not the cleanest. Front side of motel seemed ok, back rooms facing the Highway are noisy. Motel is in need of renovations.

I was looking for a place to stay close by to Legoland and I can tell you the distance was really close. Staff were friendly and helpful and for the days we stayed everything was good.

We decided to take a last minute trip to Legoland and were trying to keep our travel budget low. Since we booked at the last minute many of the other hotels in the area were already sold out. I chose this hotel because of its convenient location and affordable price and I booked two rooms. Unfortunately both rooms had a very strong odor. One smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, while the other had an unpleasant smell that never seemed to go away. The bathrooms also appeared to have some updates or repairs that weren’t finished very well. Our rooms were located on the side of the property where there were a few people hanging around who made us feel a little uneasy, especially since one of the rooms was for our young adult sons. I never really felt comfortable during our stay. The rooms also didn’t feel as clean as I would have liked. Others may find them acceptable but for me cleanliness is a big priority. On our last night, around 2:00 a.m., someone was loudly pounding on the door of the room next to us, which reinforced my concerns about safety. Overall, the hotel served its purpose for a budget friendly, last minute trip, but next time I’d rather spend a little more for a cleaner, more comfortable stay where I feel safer.

Most basic hotel room ever. It was clean, perhaps because it smelled like a truckload of disinfectant had been sprayed inside. No tissues in room. Thinnest pillows ever. AC is noisy. But what can you expect for $360? I had no option, so it worked well enough. But if you can plan ahead you will find far better options.

Eeeeeeeeew. My bad looking for a deal. We checked in fine and got into our room and started unpacking when I went to the bathroom and realized the whole back area reeked of cat pee. I haaaate complaining but this was going to be three nights of sleeping in there, and it wasn’t doable. I called and asked and they told me to go to the front desk. While we were packing up our room they had the cleaner come and I showed her the yellow spots on the wall and how the back smelled. When I got to the front desk lady she tells me that her cleaner said the room didn’t smell?? What does one say to that!? It definitely had cat pee in it. She sighed and gave me a new room. Get to the new room and no cat pee! But the smell of mildew and mold will get you! The room was definitely a punishment for complaining, in the back, dirty, excessively loud from the freeway and the air conditioner woke us up every time it came on, it sounded like a jet per my 9 year old. The bedspread wasn’t washed, so who knows what else wasn’t. We tried to get out of the reservation and was told probably not possible and we wouldn’t know if we’d be refunded after purchasing a new hotel. So, we were stuck. Location was handy. I felt dirtier after showering in that tub, but, we made it work. Legoland is fun. I wasn’t expecting a resort. But with other reviews I thought I was getting a clean place to sleep with a sweet staff. Not so much. Live and learn.

The hotel look nothing like they have in the pictures the room smelled so bad like if I would have gotten a smoking room I had to buy Benadryl cause my throat was swollen from the smell bathroom door did not close because the door frame was out of line the bathroom floor was dirty the windows of the room dirty not cleaned at all the floor of the room dirty the fridge was clean but the door was peeling the paint it practically looks like a homeless hotel for what they charge it is horrible even the the parking lot was dirty and filthy

Wasn't in anybody's way nor a fire lane. Just wanted to try to impose authority. Front desk people were good. I will not be back I recommend
