Carmel Beach Hotel

When we first arrived to check in, the receptionist was on her phone outside, and she saw me walk into the office. After 10 minutes she finally came to check me in, and without so much as a “sorry to keep you waiting”. The beds are way, way too soft - gave all three of us back pain. An area of carpet in one of our rooms was very wet, perhaps due to a leak from a noisy refrigerator that kept us awake. We had to leave a day early, as our daughter who was traveling with us developed a serious medical situation that required us to return home so she could see her cardiologist. We explained the situation and were instructed to send an email to management, which is what I did. That went nowhere. I can understand why they may not have been able to offer a refund, however they never even followed up with a credit for a future stay. Two other hotels that we had to cancel for that trip due to our family medical situation actually gave full refunds, which was honestly more than I expected. Not surprisingly, we are already planning on when to rebook at those hotels when we are next in the area.

Everything was perfect.

The room was very clean, comfortable bed. The outside area was nice. Snacks and turn down service were an extra bonus.

Over priced for sure. staff could be kinder, and parking can be a challenge.

Each room was a cute bungalow. Although our room was right next to guest services, it felt very private.The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Clean room and helpful staff. Bar was a great experience. I enjoyed how close the hotel was to the ocean and away from tourist areas. I booked a last minute spa appointment which was very relaxing and the staff there made the experience a great one.

Lovely boutique hotel - room was spacious and well appointed. Enjoyed breakfast on the patio and the lovely sights of Carmel and the beach. Would definitely stay there again

The hotel was recently renovated, and the property was emaculant. The room and bathroom were great. Super comfortable bed and a huge double sink bathroom with a tub and separate shower. Breakfast outside was delicious, and the service was excellent. They have an E.V. new V.W. bus that takes you to restaurants and shops. We never used our car the whole 3 days we were there. The beach was one block away and gorgeous, I found some great driftwood pieces for my terrarium. We will return in September, and this will be our go-to for future trips to Carmel, CA.

Great location near the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will return to this property in the future.

Location is wonderful and food was good for breakfast

The rooms were gorgeous and clean. They have a shuttle that will take you to downtown Carmel and the hotel is a 5 minute walk from the beach. Staff were friendly and readily available. We didn’t use much of the other amenities but they offer breakfast that they can bring to your room. They brought us cookies every evening and stripped the bed. The rooms had a coffee maker and an electric kettle. Plenty of towels and toilet paper. They have onsite parking but there weren’t too many spots that we saw. We never really had an issue finding parking but the lots were small.

All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Great overall experience. We will definitely be back.

The cost of a cocktail or glass of wine was exorbitant. 1 glass of red wine was $35.00. That should be the cost of a bottle.

Stayed here traveling highway 1 from Los Angeles. Stayed at Carmel beach hotel. We were offered breakfast at a cost but we decided to explore the local restaurants in the area. 5 min walk from the beach. Super clean. Room was excellent. Bathroom was beautiful. Over all great hotel to stay at. We didn’t use any amenities they offered just the parking on the property but the parking is first come first serve. Staff was great they keep the property clean and are very welcoming. They offered a shuttle to downtown Carmel but from a certain time. Over all great place to stay for a quiet relaxing place.
