Dolphin Lane Motel

Overhead light in room was burnt out and door lock was tricky to use

Beds were a little uncomfortable and pillows were too flat.

Love this place and the staff

The location is greate Needs some update fridge, bath tub and kitchen

That my mom couldn't walk up the stairs but got it resolved with the morning staff

Grungy room, sand on the bathroom floor, spotty Wi-Fi, no lock on the door

On the beach and close to boardwalk .

No one told me there was breakfast

Stuff It was not clean!! And it was very loud at night!!!!! I could not sleep all night !!!!!

Only thing need more utensils to cook with and more pans. No worries though i always bring my own!!

Problems with tv the whole time. Small towels

The beds were a bit uncomfortable.

My family has been coming to dolphin lane since my parents honey moon in 1987. My husband and I just took our daughter for her first ever beach experience. Staying at dolphin lane is like walking down memory lane. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and a perfect pool to learn to swim in! (Take it from someone who knows! ?) My family, nor myself have ever had a bad experience here. Only a full photo album and countless memories!!! Having to go home!!! ?

Room cleanliness was poor

The mattress was terrible they need to be updated and replaced.

The motel is right on the beach, so it was nice to be able to just walk to it and not worry about the expensive parking.. Has a nice pool with a seating area and is close to all of the restaurants and shops. The beds were absolutely terrible, they were very hard and the pillows were very flat. So I suggest taking your own pillow. There are metal bed frame ends sticking out of the sides of the bed, which my 7 year old got hurt on. The parking lot is very cramped, especially for bigger cars. There is somewhat additional parking across the street, but only a few spaces.

Clean good staff and very good location!

The room was visibly NOT clean. Table had sticky stains & crumbs & chairs had crumbs in them. Carpet clearly needs to be removed and the refrigerator had rust stains all over it. the beds were the most uncomfortable I think I've ever slept in. The bathtub was scary looking ..it had a huge dirt ring right in the middle of it. I did speak to the gentleman at the front desk about the lack of cleanliness I I believe he is the owner). I understand the new owners bought the place in 2012, but updates, replacements, & maintenance are necessary. Even the front and back doors need to be replaced ( at least in Room 107 they do). We actually went out and bought a mattress pad and a sheet set to help with the discomfort of the bed. We also bought cleaning supplies and I scrubbed the tub out but that stain is not going anywhere nor is the rust on the fridge. I made handle covers with plastic bags for the refrigerator. We made do, but I told my husband, next visit to Carolina Beach, we will go with one of the well known hotels. You cannot out a price on cleanliness and comfort.
