Holiday Inn Charleston Riverview by IHG

Everything was good.

Pleasant

The restaurant and bar staff were friendly and efficient in service. The food and drinks were excellent. I left with good memories of that and the lovely view.

The staff was very helpful and put us in a room with a great view! They also took flowers that were ordered up to the room.

I was irritated that you did not refund my money when I had given you plenty notice. I realize it was a non-cancellation but Booking.com was not helpful and I would not recommend either place. See my notes above

Loved Everything! The staff was so friendly and excellent customer service! The view was amazing! The view from the restaurant was stunning!! Our server Alvaro was awesome and the rest of the staff there were great! We will definitely return for our next vacation!! ❤️ There wasn’t anything we didn’t like!

Great views over the water and towards downtown Charleston …a boardwalk is underway that will allow hotel patrons to walk right over the water and into downtown Charleston Toilets never seem to flush properly…

Location and efficiency of staff

Exceptional

loved the free shuttle.everyone on staff was very nice. wish we had a better view of boat and skyline.wished we couldve used tiny balcony.room needed some baseboard cosmetic attention

Disappointing

Dated , towel rack wasn’t secured in bathroom . First day of check in front desk associate was somewhat rude she didn’t make eye contact, asked questions and was abrupt , it made us uncomfortable. She worked 3:00 shift , the other associates were pleasant and greeted us every time we walked in or walked out Old , breakfast should have been included rooms smelled could use a good mopping in room and bathroom.

Our stay at this hotel was very nice, but ... leaving this hotel, you take your life in your hands. There is absolutely no entrance onto three lanes of traffic. Once on, you a very short distance to merge. Because of this, we would not stay here again.

Good

Clean and like that it had a restaurant on site. the only issue was it was hard to get out of the parking lot.

Perfect

The location with the shuttle is great. It is a little challenging to get out onto the main road due to visibility but all in all a great place. The restaurant and bar have excellent views. The staff was super friendly and helpful. This is an older holiday inn. It has been updated but it's still an older building. Not sure why the light switch for the bathroom is on the outside of the room, behind the bathroom door...and bathroom door and entry door bump each other if opened at the same time.
