SpringHill Suites Charleston Riverview

This hotel was just plain wonderful from arrival to check out. Snacks during the day. Comfy beds, fluffy towels, clean everything. The staff was more then accomodating. The room was spacious and well designed. Definitely choose this property for a wonderful experience. Hmmm... nothing.

Staff was very nice and helpful

The location was beautiful. We were lucky to have received a room facing the marina and it was lovely. The pool and hot tub were both clean and functioning which is a plus, as many hotels now do not have a hot tub. Breakfast was typical hotel fare, a few of my items were not hot. I also felt like individual creamers and salt and pepper packets would have been more sanitary than touching the containers everyone else touched. The room was nice, it had plenty of room for 6 if you like close contact with folks. The sofa bed is a trundle so you could put a child there. Everything seemed to operate properly in the room. The only eyesores were on the building itself, there was some places that needed repair, eaves falling off, it looked dangerous and not what you would expect on a higher priced hotel. We had a nice stay and would stay again.

Overall, we definitely overpaid for our room. It was not worth what we paid. We can't afford to go on many trips so overpaying for our stay was definitely a disappointment.

The view was fantastic from our room and the breakfast was great. Eggs grits waffles yogurt and fruit. Everything you need. Got to give another shout out to Tiffani at check in. She is SUPER!!!

Location Shuttle service was terrible

Location was convenient for us. We rented our own car and liked that parking was free and we could go in and out on our own. Breakfast included was also a bonus. As soon as we walked into our hotel room, there was a musty smell or not a clean refreshing smell during our whole stay.

Seems like a lovely hotel, but despite making a reservation through Expedia, when we went to check in there were not any rooms available, and multiple people were lined up with the same predicament. Even worse, I was unable to get any refund from the hotel or Expedia, despite having the insurance.

Great view, and a great location! Took just minutes to get downtown. And they also offered a shuttle, which was a nice surprise!
