La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Charleston Riverview

The hallways were disgusting, every door had marks on them, the elevator was gross, nasty stuff all over it. I didn't want my kids touching anything. A simple paint job and wipe down of all surfaces as well as a vacuum would help tremendously. You can tell the place could be nice if they wanted to pay staff to keep it up, and it's clearly they do not. I also had a dead bug near the ceiling in my room, unknown what it was, and was too tired to take pictures. Like they smashed it and left it there for everyone to see.

All room items were bad quality. We even found a gum in the bathtub.

This property is pretty terrible. Our door did not latch unless the flip lock was secured and all curtains are see through. There are no black out curtains or anything to provide privacy at this hotel. You could see all residents as you were walking to your room. When we got to our room it was messy with trash on the floor, crumbs on the bed, and stains on the chairs and floor. We immediately checked out and found a different hotel to stay at.

The sheets and pillows smelled awful

The entire hotel is in very poor condition.

The location was amazing for a quick weekend trip with lots of beaches around. Our room however, wasn’t the cleanest. We found tags and other items remaining from prior guest, our bathroom could’ve used a more thorough cleaning and parking was a bit scarce. The staff was helpful & with Lysol and shower shoes we made the best of it. We would likely return again!

it is accessible

The staff was short when I asked them questions (2 different people). They put me next door in the next building with no elevator because my rate was under $100 a night, I'm sure of it. I asked for a receipt and because I reserved thru "a 3rd party" she could not print one---I have NEVER heard that before. I really wonder about that. The light in the bathroom was dirty, maybe moldy and there was no knob in the fridge to make sure it was on or at what level. Not excited about my stay. At least the tv worked.

Location was good

The parking is a joke they charge you for parking and the lot is not sufficient for the disgusting hotel. I would never stay there.

So rundown I couldn’t believe it. The room was dirty, dark, and had “ahem” white stains on the ancient bed skirts. When I sat my suitcase down on the bed, the frame literally collapsed. I would have alerted the front desk, but the phone was not plugged in. We immediately checked out and stayed elsewhere.

Management clearly just polished the review online to make the hotel looked like a 4.5 but in reality it is a hard 2. The building needs a lot of maintenance. The carpet is old and lots of stains and very filthy. The sink in our room doesn’t have a strainer thus can drop our toothbrush easily if not careful. Overall it is a very bad experience. I feel bad for the staff as they work very hard to clean the place.

for just a quick stay- its ok for the price- staff is always friendly- hotel smells amazing

Breakfast was good and it was per friendly. Beds were comfortable. No area for pets to do their business. Shower was always cold; lukewarm at best.

Location It was very dirty

Simple check-in, room was decent, drywall was done recently by the looks of mudd dried on the ground, little roach but nothing more after. Close to downtown Charleston, made for easy uber pick ups, nice view of marina. If you’re looking for just a room to shower and sleep, but Charleston, this would suffice.

Probably the absolute worst place i have ever stayed in my life. The room Epedia booked for us was in a very old building where the door wouldn't even close properly. We asked to be moved and they moved us into the main building for a 30$ fee. In the new room the toilet and shower did not work properly. The room was dated and falling apart. I have never in my life dreaded having to go back to my hotel room like I did here. Breakfast was ok but lobby was small and the AC was not working properly. This place was not worth the 200+ we paid for it. We also had to pay an 11$ a night parking fee. Thank god we only spent 1 night here because we got the heck out of there asap!

This is a great place to stay the breakfast is very good, this motel is close to the hospital.

The room smelled. Mold everywhere. Guest service terrible. Morning breakfast…. Was none and 45 minutes until it was over. Carpets were black from how dirty they were
