Sonesta Charlotte Lower South End

The property was very clean. I felt safe and secured my entire stay. I would definitely stay again.

My room was not cleaned once the entire time I was there. I did not get clean towels or a made bed the entire 3 days stay. I saw cleaning ladies on my floor every morning but they did not go into my room. The WiFi was absolutely horrible. I got an email late at night for some work I had to do and I had to leave the hotel because the WiFi was so horrible that it did not work in my room. The “gym” was just a couple of treadmills. I have never left a review on a hotel before this stay

The property was clean and well-maintained, the rooms were spotless, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and all amenities were available and in excellent condition. I had a great experience and would gladly stay here again.

The outlets didn’t work well. But everything else was Amazing. I especially appreciated the hair wash and shower gel products :) I love that there was a built-in restaurant, and the staff was absolutely wonderful

Love rooms with a balcony. Although I had to be moved to a room that didn’t have a balcony because it was over booked it was still an easy process. The bar and pool area were really nice. The gym could use a few more things but it was enough for a short stay. Rooms were clean and spacious. I like this area because it’s easy to shopping and and restaurants.

Conveniently located right outside of Downtown Charlotte. About a 10 minute Uber ride into the city. Stayed here on a concert weekend because the downtown hotels were so expensive. Room was comfortable enough for 3 people but it was on the smaller side. Only negative was mold in the shower but temperature of water & pressure was enjoyable. Very busy hotel with family reunions the weekend I was there. Good area food options. There is a Starbucks just down the street from the property.

Nice hotel and staff! Only complaints is the old A/C units......very loud and interrupted sleep.

Everything was great but the only problem was the air conditioning it could be a lot better

The room was dirty, bugs in the shower.. when asked if we could switch rooms we were told they’re fully booked it was moments after we discovered the bugs we came back down to the lobby. The pool area was dirty and they had a million pets in the hotel as if it was advertised as a pet convention. By far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever dealt with. Staff wasn’t very accommodating or attentive to the guests. They don’t even deserve a 1 star.

The pool water was very cloudy. The pool "bar" only serves bottom shelf alcohol (Aristocrat only), while charging premium prices. The room was extremely dated and badly in need of a remodel at this price point. The positives were the lobby, the main hotel bar, and the front desk. The servers at the bar there were excellent. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Overall the experience was meh. The lobby looks great and modern, but the bottom floor where we were (2 floors below the lobby) needs attention.
