My room had no soap or shampoo and a barking dog in the next room kept me awake. I paid in advance and got little sleep after a 14 hour ride and could not get properly cleaned, The 3 important things a hotel should provide. I am going to see where I can make my complaint more official and certainly warn people to stay away from La Quinta. I wanted a manager but was told he was not present.

Great

Gas station had semi-trucks running the entire night and very loud. Also hear every door opening and closing. Not quit and very loud.

Not much to say

Breakfast room had an oder was not able to eat there. The sink had a drainage issue and shared with staff to tell me it's push button. However the push button would not come up to drain so the water stayed and slowly drained eventually.

It was very clean

Overall it's a simple, clean hotel and I would recommend it for a stay that cost less than other places. But it was still pricey given it was near Lookout Mountain. Additionally, the elevator button was broken to the first floor, so we had to use the stairs going down. It took 24 hours to fix it. Not good for people who have a hard time with stairs. I'll never understand why some hotels are only built with one elevator. Free breakfasts are never great, but this one really not good. Tasted funky, nothing packaged for on the go, there were less choices than similar hotels, and I didn't like the coffee in the machine. But the air worked, the shower worked, and it was clean.

Housekeeping leaves at 11 AM. If you need anything after that, you're on your own. The front desk staff is rarely available or helpful.

Well, in comparison to the other properties, we have stayed the breakfast could use improvement. Love the pancake machine. But runny eggs and slight selection of muffins, etc. were thin..

If we are in the area again, I think it would be a good idea to stay at the mortuary right up the street. Warmer people, nicer staff.

Breakfast - cheap yogurt, no hard boiled eggs or cartons of milk. I had stayed at a Quinta in Gainesville Florida & it was nice, not this one. Room ok, but refrigerator wasn't plugged in!

Great breakfast.

Staff was very friendly during for check in and out however, the cleanliness of the room was very poor. You could see mold in the bathroom ceiling and whenever I was using a towel to mop up the the water after showering, there was an ozone machine in our room, junk in the shower that hadn’t been wiped up, and textured stained on the comforter. The bathroom floors had not been mopped. Whenever I was using towels to wipe up access water on the floor after showering I realized what I thought were stains was actual dirt build up. We needed the room just for the night as we were passing through on our cross country move. After driving 12+ hours, we didn’t have the energy to pack up all of our things to request for another room with our two dogs. I will say the fenced in dog area was a major perk for us, but other than that it was not a relaxing stop for us, especially with the growing doubt that the sheets we were sleeping in were ever cleaned, why there was a heavy duty deodorizer left in our room, bacteria and mold build up in the restroom, it was truly a disappointment, considering we booked and mapped out our stay at least a week in advance.

Rooms were clean. Elevator not working properly and had to take stairs. Stairwell dimly lit

Had reservations for two, but agent signed me up for only one. Brought this to her attention and had to go through whole check in process again. Placed on third floor, but elevator would only go down to second floor. Bad experience overall.

The breakfast had very limited options. I also didn’t appreciate being charged for checking in just two hours early. I have never had to pay for an early check-in at any other hotel.
-
Cons- horrible water pressure, rude older lady at front desk who seemed bothered to hold her personal phone call while we asked where the ice machine was located
