Spark by Hilton Chattanooga Downtown

The staff were friendly, however the carpets, elevators were dirty. The location is great. I was surprised being a member of Hilton that basic standards were not met.

The pool chemical levels were horrible. My husband is pool certified and brings his tester to every pool we go. The pool was defiantly not properly maintained. Our room floor was wet - as was everything we owned when we left. The carpet was also sticky in front of the desk in our room.

The “downtown” location is in an older/commercial part of downtown, and it was not what we were expecting. While the hotel was indeed renovated, it isn’t well maintained. For instance; the fencing outside is broken, the lobby floors were a bit sticky, and when we entered our room, the sofa was stained, and the AC was loud and didn’t work well, which allowed you to smell the smells from the carpet/fabrics….yuck. While it does hold the Hilton brand, and you have the Hilton furnishings, this location is not up to the standards we’ve gotten used to with the Hilton brand. Room was clean and it was renovated, however we would not stay here again, nor would we recommend, if you are used to newer properties.

Checking was very easy and quick. The room was clean and the property was well maintained. As a pet friendly property, having a little dog park on the premises was great!

Bagels, toast, yogurt and cereal. Bed and pillow was comfortable. AC didn’t get very cold. AC was loud and woke me up through out the night. Not enough towels in the room. When we asked the front desk we were directed to the pool to get towels… would I stay again? Maybe.

Nice close to downtown not bad

We booked the room for convenience to an apt. It was clean enough and served its purpose, nothing fancy. Breakfast was kind of lacking, no meat. Staff where all pleasant and we had everything we needed.

The room was clean. The pool was nice. The staff was friendly. Unfortunately, the smell of dogs, cats, and their ETC., was unpleasant in public/common areas, hallways, and at the pool adjacent to the dog park. It was apparent that the staff tried to deodorize the facility well, but the smell prevailed.

Room was clean but bed was too firm. The furniture was not what you would expect for a Hilton Hotel. The Continental Breakfast was not good. We were disappointed in our stay for the money.

Great customer service, clean room Dog friendly perfect locations

There was a strong BO order upon arrival. Room was very clean but outdoor stairs in the back were disgusting. Exploding underwear from quite long ago it looked.

I was very impressed with your hotel and the staff! Super clean, bed was so comfortable, and the staff was extra helpful!! 10 out of 10!! Highly recommend! Breakfast was not quite what I expected, but we made due.

The hotel was nice. The room was pretty clean. We had a balcony but only one chair in the room that would have to be moved outside. I reserved this type of room to be able to use the balcony. We asked for chairs for the balcony but could not get them. We canceled the maid service because they had not come to our room after 3pm and we wanted to relax before going out. The breakfast was more than adequate and the room was nice.

1 hour prior to arriving, continuing a 8 plus hour drive from Florida, I had inadvertently ran into several reviews from other sites stating that the facility has had issues with bugs and rodents along with pictures of their findings. I had not looked at other sites reviews for this facility prior to booking. I’ve learned my lesson. I contacted Sparks hotel requesting to cancel reservation and they said they would not refund. We decided to drive there and check it out ourselves. Facility was not clean enough. Floors were dirty. Like they hadn’t been washed for sometime. Went up into elevators and it was not clean. Visible dirt on floor that had appeared to have been there for sometime building up over time. The rooms floor had not been vacuumed. You could see fuz and particles of different sorts on carpet and the ottoman was dusty with a dead bug on it. It just wasn’t considered clean for guests to be there. Also the pictures displayed advertising the facility, were not accurate to what are at hotel. Pictures made facility more appealing. Man at front desk was nice but again would not give a refund and appeared to be insulted. We left without a refund and went somewhere else. We were not taking a chance of bringing bugs home or running into any other surprising situations that proved the facility to dirty. Also when on other sites the rooms were far less expensive that what offered on Expedia. The other sites seemed to more appropriate cost for what you get once at facility.
