Literally everything. Clean. Comfy. Perfect. My view was of a wall. But somehow even that didn’t bother me- it made me feel safe and cozy. Bar food wasn’t great.

Our room wasn’t the best. Two shades on the windows were ripped, the hot & cold water faucets were switched (hot was cold & cold was hot) & smaller room than shown on the internet. Not as big - not much sitting room. Don’t know if that was b/c we booked our room through Expedia? Was disappointed in the room but rest of the stay was very nice. The hotel restaurant was outstanding. We were celebrating our anniversary.

We have stayed here many times and it’s always been great. The tv wasn’t working. They couldn’t fix it. They didn’t offer a discount or a different room. It’s too expensive of a place not to have expected amenities.

Everything was great! I was even able to take a tour of room 311, which was a lot of fun!

The Bar and Billiards restaurant food was delicious and the cocktails were spot on. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

The room was in a quiet area, which helped sleeping. The bed and pillows were perfectly comfortable. The hotel location was convenient to all the things that we had planned. The history of the property is fascinating. We enjoyed the tour of the haunted room! Excellent stay! There is nothing at all to explain. I liked everything!

If you are looking for a real first class hotel, you need to look no further. Read House is the place to go. First class starting with the valet parking, front desk, quality of the room, and the first class staff you run into on a daily basis. We definitely will be back.

The room exceeded expectations. It was clean, beautiful view of downtown. I also appreciated the modern amenities such as usb charger ports for my electronics, the refrigerator and coffee bar setup in the room. The history of the hotel with the perfect location downtown makes it a perfect choice. Most activities we wanted to do were within walking distance. Best of all was the staff. Everyone from the car valet, front door man and the front desk were all friendly, helpful and treated my wife and me as VIPs. That is why we will return to stay the next time we are back in town at this hotel.
