The staff was so friendly and inviting! They offered me good recommendations for food and places to go! The room was clean and inviting with a gorgeous view of the park and near by buildings. As a solo traveler, I was happy to be close to points of interest like Millenium ParkNext time I am in Chicago, I would love to stay here again!

We did purchase a breakfast for all 5 of us. Paid over $100 for the breakfast to be included. We all had breakfast then I got a bill for over $160. I went to front desk. They said it would not be charged. I got home. It was charged. Came straight from my credit card. Had to call and get it taken care of. Super frustrating and worrisome. They did credit me for the breakfast and even included the tip we left the waitress for the inconvenience. Wonderful place to stay. Great location. Very convenient we parked in a public structure right across the street for $20 less/day than valet. Still pricey. But convenient to be able to get to your car whenever you want. I would for sure stay here again. Just wouldn’t do the breakfast. Not worth the hassle to pre pay for it. And not worth the price to pay up front either. It was delicious food. Just pricey for a breakfast.

Great location- most attractions were an easy walk from the hotel. The hotel staff were all very nice and provided exceptional customer service. The room was well-appointed, with comfy beds and a beautiful bathroom. We paid extra for Fairmont Gold (concierge level) and found it to be a great value. The food at the buffet breakfast was delicious and they had nice snacks at other times of the day. The staff in the Concierge Lounge was top notch!

The staff was excellent in every area we encountered (front desk, The Lounge, housekeeping, room service, and the amazing gentlemen out front)

    Great hotel convenient

The biggest downside was the price. In my opinion, the room was overpriced for what it offered. I booked a standard king room, and it was very basic—just the bedroom, bathroom, and a small desk. It was clean and comfortable enough, but for the price, I expected more amenities or a nicer room. The biggest advantage of this hotel is definitely its location. It’s right in the middle of the city, making it very easy to get around and access nearby attractions. It was a great choice for Lollapalooza because everything was convenient and within easy reach. The staff was okay, but they weren’t particularly friendly or welcoming. They got the job done, but it often felt like they weren’t very interested in helping guests. One person who truly deserves recognition is the housekeeper. She did an excellent job cleaning the room every day and even took the time to organize some of our belongings, which we really appreciated. Her attention to detail and hard work made a noticeable difference in our stay. Overall, I think the hotel is worth considering for its excellent location, especially if you’re attending an event like Lollapalooza. However, I believe the room rates are higher than what the hotel actually offers.

We were very pleased with this five star hotel on Michigan Avenue in Chicago at about half price due to Expedia.

Excellente localisation et un hôtel toujours agréable

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Absolutely no where was I made aware the hotel charges $30 a day for an urban fee, plus additional fees and taxes related to the urban fee. None of this was explained during booking through Expedia nor when I checked in. Had no idea about what was wrapped up into the urban fee. Total cost was about $170 more than the room. Additionally they have zero water on hand, had to purchase myself from CVS and the room was covered in hair.

The room was clean, spacious, big windows where you can see everything. Stocked with everything you can think of (snacks, drinks) at a cost, but convenient. Location at millennium Park was a 5 minute walk to Riverwalk. The staff was accommodating. I loved everything about the luxury stay.
