Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Chicago-Midway Airport by IHG

Very good

Comfortable room and nice size bathroom. Pay parking

Exceptional

We stayed on the 1st floor. Beginning at 4:00 am the ice machine kept running and refilling itself. When we asked the front desk about it, she said that there were contractors staying there and needed to fill their coolers, so the machine was refilling. It was constant until we finally just got up at 6:00 and left. No resolution

Aside from this, hotel location was good, close to midway airport and car rental facility. Everything else was 20 min away.

The hotel was fine overall although our room flooded the second day and the carpet was soaked so they had to move us to a different room with a different room configuration than we had booked. The staff was nice but not as concerned about the situation as they should have been considering the amount of water we found in the room we were moved out of upon returning to the hotel the second night.

Friendly staff. Clean nice room. Breakfast is okay. The place is close to everything. To charge a guest for the parking fee is a downer!

Water pressure was the best ive ever had at a hotel, period! Might be trivial to some but was amazing before a long drive home. Convenient location for sporting events and the breakfast was fantastic. Room was clean and bed was incredibly comfortable! Very happy with the stay!

Excellent staff. Delicious breakfast

Good hotel

Nice front desk staff, proximity to Midway airport, shuttle service Room was functional but had no charm or nice features. Thermostat was finicky

The hotel overbooked for that period due to a convention. They cancelled my reservation by saying that they tried to charge my credit card prior to my check in. I always reserve with a different card and pay with another card on arrival. I had to drive an hour away to get another room. Very disappointed and the clerk had an attitude with me with no compassion whatsoever.

Staff was very accommodating. The breakfast was ok.

Clean room

Exceptional

Clean, good room, no problems. Shuttle service

Everything about the property was great

Bathtub was not clean. Baseboard in the bathroom was not clean. Breakfast was good. Airport shuttle was good. Some staff, front desk, was a lot more knowledgeable than others. When I arrived, I asked how to get to the Field Museum using the orange line and the evening front desk person was unable to give me clear directions. In the morning, I believe his name is Nathan, gave me explicit directions.

Room bed was clean but otherwise the hotel was not clean

Clean quiet and convenient
