Staff extremely helpful and always polite. Building was under renovation so a little messy as would be expected. Very convenient location.

The lobby was very nice and clean. The staff were amazing as well. I walked up to my room to see a dorm size space (which isn’t the end of the world) with no fridge for my waters, especially for being one of the hottest times of the year. I’ve done some research to see if all rooms were like this, which I found you’d need to upgrade your room for basic essentials when the room itself I purchased was a couple hundred as is. Otherwise, the street was filled with restaurants and bars, which were quite enjoyable!

Due to the renovation they didn’t have the room I requested for the first night. But they made it right and got us into the original toom for our other two nights Train stops just down the street. Lots of nice little restaurants right there in the neighborhood. Staff was very helpful in getting our reservation taken care of

Plus, walking distance to many places. A lot of stores and restaurants around. Onsite bar/reataurant - great! Friendly staff, good food!

Staff was wonderful, the answered the numerous questions I asked without hesitation. Parking was easy and inexpensive. Renovations are going on but the rooms are adequate and comfortable.

Elevator was under maintenance so we took the very narrow stairs

If it wasn’t for the staff it would have been a horrible trip. Rooms, hallways were gross and under construction, but not just a little, a lot. Construction teams up at 7AM making noise right outside your room. It was awful.

We've stayed here twice in 3 years and both times the elevator wasn't working. Otherwise, we think the staff is very nice and helpful, and the rooms are good size.

However, the rooms themselves really need some attention, specifically the bathrooms. They are far too small, and the sinks are tiny. During my stay, I also ran into a couple of plumbing issues: the water kept pooling in the sink and wouldn't drain properly, and the toilet didn't flush right. If the hotel upgrades and expands its bathroom facilities to match the quality of its new amenities, it would easily be a 5-star stay.

Was actually a great stay and loved all the upgrades/improvement. Unfortunately, because of all the work they we still doing on the property, the elevators were not available to use, which resulted in guests having to use the narrow stairs to go up and down as high as 4 flights of steps. Wasn't too bad, but pretty inconvenient. However, I'm sure that will not be an ongoing issue once they have completed all of the upgrades.

Great place to stay in a nice neighborhood!

The Hotel Versey was a very nice experience. Although the main elevator was out of order, the staff took us to our room via the service elevator, an experience which my son liked very much. The room was not the most spacious, but it had all the essentials, including a clean bathroom, desk, TV, and space for our luggage. The Cubs decorative wallpaper and mementos gave the hotel a nice added touch. Having Rounders Pub right downstairs was very convenient. Would definitely recommend staying there again!

Hope to stay there every year

The room we were issued had people in it, but the helpful staff got us a new room immediately & brought us the coldest room frig I have ever had, to our room.

It was a good stay. The hotel was being renovated while we were there, so some areas were inaccessible due to construction, but the staff were friendly and did their best to help as needed. Overall, it's a cute hotel with fun sports-themed art. The gym is completely updated and new, which my sons used, and the bar/restaurant is also nice. Overall, a great stay if you want to be close to Wrigley Field.

Great location. Elevator didn’t work the entire six days. Housekeeping never cleaned our room.

Room was next to the stairwell so all day/night you heard the door squeak & shut to allow for guests to enter/leave the floor. Would've appreciated some level of advanced warning, apologies or compensation for booking a room and having to deal with renovations.

Cute boutique hotel close to shopping, food, Wrigley Field and other landmarks of interest. Wasn't aware of the construction going on until we checked in. No elevator but we were able to get a ride up to the 4th floor in the service elevator. Building is very old, stairwells are narrow, rooms are small and the bathroom is even smaller. Sink was very low when compared to more modern facilities. Bed was comfortable. Suited our needs but wouldn't stay there again until construction is completed.
