Front desk was very helpful and friendly

I liked the pool and hot tub, which were the main two reasons we chose this specific hotel. The staff was also mostly friendly and helpful but did not communicate reservation changes to me at check-in and did not follow up with me when I called about the broken TV in my room. However, when I talked to the front desk agent at check out about my issues, they did get me a discounted price on the room and parking for my troubles, so I appreciated that. It was not disclosed to me at check-in that my room had been changed from my reservation, so I went into the room with the expectation that it would be what I purchased and was highly disappointed that it was not. I was told this was because I didn't prepay so they gave my room away, which is a weird policy to have in place considering there's already a cancellation policy and I did not cancel. I was told my wifi would be complimentary, but it still took me to the paywall after I tried to log in. I did not have a working TV and called to get it fixed but no one came. I did not have sheets for the pull-out sofa but since I didn't hear from anyone regarding the TV, I didn't bother calling about it. The fact that you have to purchase the breakfast package and then it only covers 2 breakfasts is also very ridiculous. The nickel and diming of every single thing was crazy and disappointing. I work front desk at a hotel and if any of my guests experienced what I did, I would be appalled and embarrassed.

I booked this property because the weekend I visited, rates everywhere were insane and suites were sold out. I normally stay at a luxury hotel in the Gold Coast, so this was a change of pace. The suite I got was huge. Dated, but huge. Honestly, we were happy with almost everything. The few misses: the ironing board cover fell off, and the elevators are small and usually full, so you may have to let one pass and wait for the next. The bathrooms could use a major update. Four out of five stars. The property delivers on space and value, I just prefer a luxury hotel.

We booked this hotel for it's affordability and family friendly amenities. The kids loved the dive-in movie and I could supervise from the hot tub.

I picked this property for this trip for several reasons: well-known high quality brand, proximity to the airport, proximity to the train station (which we ended up not using, but knowing it was there gave us options), and the fact that I got a good deal on the room at the time. Room service food was excellent, staff was helpful and responsive. The room was very nice, with 2 large TV's (which we didn't use). Mini-fridge = good, could have used a microwave oven also. Maybe they have suites that have those, I don't know. I would definitely stay there again, and hopefully next time stay a bit longer to take advantage of more of the amenities.

My only concerns are the towels weren’t soft, and no body wash in the shower.
