Staff was very helpful and room was clean and ready upon arrival.

Great location...close to Union Station

The location is unbeatable, with incredible views of the Chicago skyline and easy access to everything downtown. Despite 90-degree heat, heavy rain, and dense fog during our visit, we slept like babies. The room was quiet, the air conditioning worked perfectly, the beds were firm yet very comfortable, and the sheets were spotless. The front desk team was outstanding from check-in to check-out. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and helpful, and a special thanks to Joel for making checkout quick and seamless. The complimentary breakfast was convenient, with waffles, bagels, yogurt, juice, and more. My only suggestion would be stronger coffee and a few more coffee options. The complimentary fitness center was a real bonus. It featured top-notch equipment, was impeccably clean, and felt more like a private health club than a hotel gym. Guests must be 21+ to use it, and it’s closed on weekends. We also saved money by using SpotHero and parking right next door for about $20/day instead of paying the hotel’s $50–60 parking rate. Reliable Wi-Fi, great amenities, and a peaceful atmosphere made the stay even better. Although the rain and fog blocked our view of the Fourth of July fireworks at Navy Pier, we enjoyed watching fireworks in the days leading up to the holiday from our room. Excellent service, outstanding value, and one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had in Chicago. Highly recommended!

We loved everything from customer service to room to parking. We will be back.

Security for the building was rude staff for actual hotel was delightful AC in the rooms works amazing but rooms have a significant amount of elevator(maybe) noise We had fire alarm testing one morning which was unfortunate Overall decent experience but nothing that would bring me back to stay there next time we are in Chicago

Everything was beautiful and the view I love it

location 40th floor

Great view Reportedly housekeeping was backlogged and couldn’t check in until 45 minutes after checkin opened.

Yes, the parking is tricky!! Get in the garage under the building and take your ticket. Go up to the 1st floor after parking and then you do have to haul your bags up a set of stairs outside the building. Enter the lobby of the building thru the glass doors by the horse statue and a guard will escort you up through the two elevators to get past all the offices the first time you enter. After that you will get your own keycards for everything (note that if you are a family each person has a white card that is needed to get through the security gates to the elevator (but the security attendants will buzz you if you forget). Other than that we were happy with the room (yes a bit dated on the marble and fixtures but I’d rather they keep it all out of a landfill than upgrade to something cheaper).

All around great experience. Had an issue with the valet downstairs and the hotel staff was very attentive and timely with fixing tour parking garage issue!

My overnight stay at the Buckingham hotel was great. The room was clean, the bathroom with full size deep tub was bonus. The bed was very comfortable and no street noise to disrupt my sleep. The desk staff was super. He even helped me order a Chicago style pizza while in Chicago. The continental breakfast was minimal but included in the price I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.
-
Proximity to train stations & downtown, beautiful lake view Figuring out the elevators was a bit confusing.
-
Amazing views of the lake and city, comfortable bed, large room, great seating area with large windows for the perfect view. Spacious bathroom. Finding the parking garage was not as bad as I anticipated, however the directions for getting from the hotel to the parking garage were a little confusing and could be simplified by having a printout of instructions for ease.
-
Friendly staff, amazing location and a complimentary late check out. We'll definitely be back.
-
Parking was easy, navigating the various paths took a little longer but was fine it you pay attention to the details.
-
Definity view. the carpet gave an impression of old and maybe dusty
-
I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Very safe, very convenient, good breakfast provided and gorgeous views!
-
The view and location are good It is a little difficult when you parked your car then went to the lobby
-
Notes for improvement: The breakfast was okay (mainly pre packaged pastries) and a k cup coffee maker. Freshly brewed coffee would be nice. The beds were also a little too firm for our liking. Overall very nice though and a 8/10! We would return.
