Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Central Loop

I received a very large room with a small kitchen, microwave, closet, and a very spacious desk to work on. Great views from the corner room of the city. Breakfast was a joke, you get a voucher for 26 USD worth of food, which is good for nothing basically, a small egg, two toasts, and a coffee. So if we ignore the breakfast, the rest was great.

The staff were super helpful and amazing. My family went for an overnight (I had stayed before with my daughter) and the location, the room, it was all fantastic. The only mark down I gave it was because we stayed on a Sunday and the in house restaurant was closed until we would be checking out the next day. BUT it's across the street from a bajillion restaurants, so now worries!

Front staff were exceptionally nice.

I stayed here with my friends for a birthday!! It was a convenient walk from Union station and to our dinner reservations! The rooms were nice and the beds very comfortable. I will for sure be back!

To make matters worse, several amenities were closed, including the rooftop, which was one of the reasons I booked this hotel. When I got to my room, it was dirty, and the bed was covered in hair. I asked the front desk to have the sheets changed, but no one ever came. I ended up sleeping on dirty sheets, which was completely unacceptable. On top of that, I was overcharged. Expedia had already charged me for the room, but the hotel charged me an additional $200, claiming it was for extra taxes and fees. I still don’t understand where those charges came from, and I ended up paying much more than I expected. The only positive thing I can say is that the location is convenient if you’re coming from Midway Airport, since it’s close to the train station. In case you want to do the train and not Uber other than that, I would not recommend staying here, and I definitely will not be coming back.

We had a pleasant stay here. Hotel has a great location and is in a nice area. Rooms are very clean and blinds are amazing. Except for one person, the staff is very kind and helpful.
