It is a budget motel, and to that end it's a good choice. But, the property is in serious need of a deep cleaning, and an updating. It's unfortunate that "budget" has to equate to dirty carpets, out dated linens, and minimal services. Managed correctly, you can have a quality service/product at a reasonable price...

Bed was comfy & clean, quiet all night, TV menu was easy to use, roomy fridge for my leftovers, microwave for my popcorn, hairdryer to help me train my hair in the morning, & decent breakfast. Location was close to many restaurants. The nearby museum & ballroom was a fabulous experience.

I'm not a fussy traveler and understand that budget motels are basic, but this one was a bit of a stretch. Positives - comfortable bed, strong shower, Wi-fi worked fine, working fridge and microwave in the room as advertised, and quiet for the most part. That part of Iowa feels safe in general so I never felt unsafe as a woman traveling alone. The not great parts - My first impression when checking in was someone demanding a refund because they found old food in their bed. When I got into my room there were no bathroom linens at all and I had to go back to the front desk to ask for them. Several times I returned to find linens missing and not replaced, like a washcloth or all my towels, and I had to go ask for replacements. The back door is supposed to lock with a key card but was duct taped open. Something that looked like dog food was lying all over the back foyer and no one cleaned it up for the 5 days I was there. One day there were bags of trash piled up outside the rear door. My trash wasn't emptied the entire 5 days, I had to ask for a new trash bag and take it out myself, and the desk attendant seemed bothered. There was a breakfast but it was only bread products. Just coffee in the breakfast area, no coffee maker in the room, It appears there is a large family living in the hotel and a couple of mornings it looked like they used the breakfast area as a personal kitchen. I won't be staying here again but if you need something really cheap it will cover basic needs.

Place is a dump. Booked 2 nights and stayed only 1 night. Woke up with a pepperoni stuck to my back that was left in the bed and a spider I luckily smashed. Friends bed in the same room had a 6” dookie stain on the edge. They clearly do not change sheets or wash them. Stay far away, the management doesn’t care about the property.

Room was okay for the most part. The only downsides were that the outlet for the hair dryer did not work and housekeeping took the used towels but did not replace them. The last night I was there, I had no towels.

Smelled! The room made me break out. Never anyone at the front desk for help. Wouldn’t recommend!!

The TV didn't work do to the weather, the toilet was very low. The price was right, for a low budget hotel it was OK.

Traveling with a dog myself- I understand “pet rooms”… this one smelled of pet urine… and there was previous pet kibble on the floor :/ Beds were comfortable- surprisingly so. Linen was older TV Remote controlled Channel- but remarkably- not the volume. Toilet was a SUPER slow flush- (hold the handle and watch it sslloowyy flush.. ) On the plus side/ it was a quiet hotel- Not many guests. We get what we pay for.
