It was a nice hotel room. Beds were comfortable.

The location is good . I had stayed here a few times and found it had changed. Not as clean or as maintained
-
Room had a very strong smell of pine sol. No soap in room. Interior hotel area looked dirty
-
Carpets in halls and elevator needed a good cleaning. Breakfast was light but ok. Asked about local restaurants, didn't get much of a response. Didn't even know they had a promo next door at Perkins for 20% off.
-
Had to change rooms because the first room already had a couple in it.
-
Staff was very pleasant. In my opinion, breakfast was marginal and coffee was awful. Overall a good value on a single room.

Had a great experience will stay there again

Front desk: no greeting, just did what he needed to get us our room. Took a few tries to get the bathroom light to turn on (almost asked for a different room). "no signal" on the TV, so couldn't use it. "Breakfast" is pretty minimal. Bed comfortable, room pretty clean/quiet. Good location

No I don’t want to write something

It is in a good location. The room I stayed in was small, the curtains didn’t fit the window and were hanging off the holders, the desk chair seat was shredded, and there was no smoke detector in the room-just a hole in the wall where it used to be.

Missing axle in toilet paper dispenser. Shower/tub drain very slow.

1) Hair drier did not work. Staff found a substitute 2) crap morning beverage for 3 days. On fourth day, real orange juice was available. 3) no fruit available at breakfast, 4 days. 4) only one hand towel provided for two people, through 3 towel changes. 5) bath vent fan did not work 6) chair covering badly worn 7) on two of the four mornings, there was no hot water!!! The room and bathroom were very clean, I mentioned complaint to staff on checkout, was told that a complete redecoration is scheduled in the next two or three months. I am likely to stay again in summer of 2027, but before making reservation I will talk to front desk to confirm that the overhaul has actually taken place.

Very well maintained location and a fair price. SG

Convenience. Staffer Jigi has not been to charm school and came across as rather indifferent in his interactions with customers. He clearly was not motivated by satisfying the needs of his customers. The motel seemed to be a step down from what one would normally expect from a Microtel. In response to a corporate generated customer friendly email I received after my booking, I asked for a first floor room. I never received a response from the local motel staff. When I arrived, I was told that they were sold out and didn't have a first floor room available, unless I took a room reserved for people with pets. I asked if it smelled like pets. The clerk, Jigi, replied "maybe." I should not fault him as English did not appear to be his first language. ?He did give me 5 minutes to decide on whether I would like to stay in the room versus move to an upper floor. Even the breakfast area appeared to be a step down from what one would normally expect from a motel like this. No fruit like bananas or oranges, only cereal, yogurt, coffee and juice. Pretty bare bones. In this sense, I suppose the model is living up to its name: Micro.

Had a 5 night stay to drop off daughter in Forest city, iowa and have stayed at this location 3 times with no issues, but this time of the 5 nights 3 were without hot water for shower and was told sorry, nothing done at this time to make up for that issue!

For the price… good value. Helpful staff. “Just the basics” but really good in that category. We’ll stay again.
-
no hot water they did not honor expedia’s pet fee and they were not helpful about a price adjustment staff can not assist you i can’t remember when i’ve had as poor a hotel experience as this one
