Great breakfast of muffins, youget and fresh fruit, egg fritters - all homemade with fresh orange juice, tea and coffee freely available. Loved the welcome cookies and social wine and nibbles. Diana, Heather and Cory were fonts of information, friendly and caring they couldn't do enough for us. Spotlessly clean and a home full of old fashioned charm and charector. The bed has seen better days and sags in the middle. Pillows a little lumpy.

But above all else, the absolute best thing about the Holden House was the staff. I was genuinely blown away by the care and service they provided. They were all so welcoming and always so willing to help make the stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. They also gave us some recommendations of what to do around town that were great!! Though of course the location and the rooms were absolutely fantastic, genuinely the thing that really put this stay over the top into being the best B&B I've ever stayed was really the lovely staff here!! By the time we checked out, I was already planning another trip back to stay here again!!

I love staying here! It’s always so clean, the breakfast is delicious, and the staff are so accommodating and kind! I have zero complaints.

The rooms were beautiful and clean and breakfast was lovely. But the stand out aspect was by far the staff. All the in-keapers were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. In particular Brook took the time to learn about our interests and recommended unique and personalized activities that we never would have found on our own. Our trip would not have been the same without our stay at the Holden House.

Friendly staff, great breakfasts!
-
The staff/ hosts were lovely and took great care of us during our stay. Breakfast was great and we enjoyed the evening wine social. The room was very nice, we enjoyed sitting on the front porch swing chairs. We loved everything.
-
The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The neighborhood was quiet and close to town. Love the professional service of the staff. So friendly and I Iove how they show how much they love working there. Love that the breakfast was made fresh every morning. That no children under 21 and no customer pets. The neighbors walking their dogs don't pick up their dog poop in the right of way. This made it difficult to get out of the car when parked in the street. You couldn't step out of the car without stepping in dog feces.
-
it was in a great part of town. The owners tried to maintain the Victorian charm pretty well. The breakfast was just right for a day’s exploring. The staff were super friendly. The layout of our suite was a little wonky.

A handicap accessible B&B - Are you kidding me? Absolutely wonderful. My wife's limitations are far more demanding than most. This facility met the most difficult demands, and they exceled at it. The Independance suite was wonderful when you consider a late 19th century facility meeting the demands of a person with multiple limitations like my wife. If you have limitations do not hesitate to visit here - you will be happily amazed. The fact that we couldn't stay longer!
-
Beautiful B&B. Excellent location, close to everything we planned to visit. Breakfast was wonderful and we appreciated the wine and appetizers offered every day from 5-6:30.

Facilities are very clean. Breakfasts were wonderful; tasty and just right size portions. One of the reasons I booked Holden House rather than anywhere else was because of the excellent reviews on your breakfasts. They were justified. Our room had everything we could want, including a teddy bear and a rubber ducky. For us old people, having a room at the top of the stairs without a landing (in the Carriage House) was probably not the best, although we managed. The recliners were a nice touch but not the best on the back. While I slept fine in the bed, my husband thought that the bed bothered his back.

Can’t say enough about this B&B. Loved the welcoming staff, the beautiful accommodations, the delicious breakfast and wine social for guests. Every detail was considered and it was an exceptional stay for us. Would definitely recommend and we hope to return one day. Can’t think of a thing to say here!

The home is stunning. The staff pays exceptional attention to details. We had the most divine breakfast each day. The wine hour each day brought us wonderful conversations with the other guests. It was a wonderful stay! We hated to have to say goodbye

Breakfast both days was excellent. We were charmed by the details of the table settings, and sustained by the delicious food. Sharla and Eva were welcoming and very attentive. We totally enjoyed our stay with you. Also, excellent location. Can’t think of a thing

Great food choices nothing

The Holden House is an amazing colonial Victorian that has all the modern amenities but more so the exceptional sense of beauty that our ancestors possessed. Our room was very comfortable - we loved the fireplace, sitting area, and the bed! NA

First night was great! the staff was very kind and made us feel at home. such a cozy property. Second night was slightly ruined (wedding getaway). the staff of the second night removed our bottle while we were away from the first floor fridge which isn’t a big deal other than they made no attempt to call us or leave a note saying where it was or if they took it. until the next morning at checkout expecting us to leave and drive with an open container. would’ve appreciated a bit more courtesy.

Breakfast was great, hostesses were exceptionally friendly and accomodating. Property and room were quaint and location is awesome. Bed was extremely comfortable. Wifi was very weak, at least in my room.

This is a great location for visiting Colorado & Manitou Springs. The staff were friendly and the breakfasts were awesome. We appreciated the variety and quality of the breakfasts - one day it was a sort of french toast and the next it was egg based. It was also fun to meet the other guests. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.
