Superb

Beautiful and comfortable lobby. Bonus was the “art gallery” several floors above the lobby. Valet parking is an option, but instead I parked at the lower cost garage down the block.

Convenience Cold rooms

Awesome hotel! Restaurants and bar attached were also very good. Would stay here again next time I visit Colorado Springs.

The staff were most interested in their social media on their cellphones. THIS. On a Thursday late afternoon about 6. I had to wrangle our bags and prop open doors by myself. Crickets from 2 Door staff, 2 desk staff, 2 eatery staff, and the bar back staff. The bartender coming on duty came and offered assistance as we were pushing the cart to the elevator bank. The side door had no ADA access and the vestibule door was cantered half open. All throughout our stay the door staff was inattentive. When leaving I noticed the change in the Sunday morning door staff, both guys were very helpful even suggesting how to que for the valet lane. We did find it remarkable that a housekeeping member thoughtfully engaged us in conversation urging us outside to view the lunar eclipse, as well as accompany us to the street so we could view it above the post office :)

The car valet was excellent - quick and efficient. I've stayed at this hotel several times in the past, however I as disappointed in this recent stay for the following reasons: 1. Poor check and check out experience: the woman checking me in was not overly friendly or welcoming, and she did not get my email address which required me to followup with the hotel after my departure since there was no one at the desk when I left on my departure date at 6:00 am. I left my room key at the desk and had to phone back later to receive the invoice; the desk staff said they didn't have an email address for me. 2. Poor in-room amenities: again we've stayed here before and didn't mind the lack of coffee machine, or bathroom toiletries such as a shower cap, make-up wipes, etc. since the price we paid per night was low, but on this visit I paid over $250 a night so my expectations were higher. For three nights my bill was over $1000 which included valet parking and a 'resort' fee. 3. 'Bronze' rooms are small with no view. I would not recommend the Bronze rooms; they are small, and more of an issue, they look over a roof courtyard and my room had the view of a large air conditioner unit. 4. Noise on Saturday night: There was a loud party going on in the alley way outside my room on Saturday night which was annoying; it was thumping with music, very loud. I called the front desk, the desk clerk was not at all helpful: she said she thought it was private party going on in the alley way. Okay.....not helpful at all. On the upside the car valet guys are great and the lobby area is nice. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Mining Exchange. The staff was amazing! Awesome atmosphere. I will definitely be back!

We were very disappointed with restaurant ORO. The selection was poor. I ordered takeout cauliflower Milanese. It was expensive but, the portion size was very small and very salty. I would not recommend this dish.

This was a unique place to stay and the staff was very accommodating.

Amazing hotel

Great hotel, wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff

Very classic hotel - rooms are vintage, uniquely shaped. Bathroom is vey large and clean. Small details like a vintage radio in the room makes a difference to make it feel homey. Location can not be beat - tons of good restaurants around. What stands out is the service in the hotel. Everyone from front desk staff to valet to bellmen, demonstrated superb pride and passion for their job. One small detail that I feel is a little inconvenient to the customers though: there is no phone in the room. You will have to use your cell phone to make the call to the operator, and you will have to loop through a number of recorded messages before you reach the front desk. If removal of the phone is a must to save costs, I suggest on the first ring，customer should be able to talk to a live person. Other than this small detail - I strongly recommend this hotel.
