Holiday Inn Express & Suites Colorado Springs AFA Northgate by IHG

The property was nice, the room was good. There was a sign when we checked in regarding no housekeeping for July 4th to give staff time for the holiday. We stayed 4 nights....I thought from the sign that we wouldn't have housekeeping on just one of our 4 days, however we didn't have housekeeping any of the days of our stay. They dropped of fresh towels 3 of the days, nothing else. While I get the one day and was okay with it, I wasn't pleased with very limited services the rest of the days of our stay.

I stayed at this property the night of July 3rd when I came into town for a work trip (I was working a 4th of July event that evening)… I was immediately impressed by how how beautiful the property was. Great beds and everything you need while away on a work trip. By July 4, I was getting ready to work my third night in a row and was moving a little slow, so I called the front desk for a possibility of a late check out. The gentleman was very nice and said due to the holiday, the latest he could accommodate that request was a checkout at 12:30 pm. I thanked him and told him that worked perfectly. Around 11:30 I had gotten out of the shower to get dressed and ready for work and the maids knocked on the door. I told them that I had requested a late checkout and then I would be out shortly and then immediately the phone rang in my room and it was a woman telling me that they weren't accommodating any late checkouts……. I explained that a gentleman named Johnathan told me that I could have a 1230 check out and had I known I would've had my stuff together, but I was in the middle of getting ready to check out and go to work that day, so it was gonna take a few few minutes.. I was very disappointed in the lack of communication as I pay for a room when I work in the city so that I can arrive centered and feeling ready for whatever the night may bring……. And this miscommunication left me flustered and rushed which is the opposite of what my needs are while I’m in town. :(

Rooms were clean, staff was helpful. Enjoyed our stay!

Hotel was dirty. We had scuff marks all over the walls, the AC unit was dusty, and there were stains on the comforter and sheets on 2 out of the 3 beds. Carpet was stained in several spots and the door had something sticky on it - like an old spill that was not cleaned.

I really loved the room layout, the cleanliness, and the view! The breakfast was also amazing! Nothing!

Overall pretty good. The family suite definitely wasn't big enough for a large family. The layout was strange.

We liked the breakfast and loved the coffee. Front desk staff was great! We stayed Sun-Wed, checked out on Thurs; however, the bed sheets were not changed, especially us staying for that long. The products in the bathroom were not refilled.

It was a good location and it was clean for the most part. There was almost a 2hr delay in one of our rooms so then had to be moved away from friends we were with. One of our rooms had a big blood stain or something on the bedding. We were told at check in that we could have a late check out if we just let the front desk know. But when doing that we weren't able to because I booked through 3rd party. They didn't want to accommodate us for anything initially but I apparently irritated the girl enough and all they said was we'll give you 1 free night on your next stay....but I still dont show those points added to my account.

Room excellent, staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast excellent. The best stay for the price of entire vacation.

Great stay - well priced & good breakfast options

The staff was very friendly. My only problem is I have a hard time walking and I forgot to ask for a closer room. Of course we were all the way to the end of hall. We also had no view except the parking lot. That was disappointing. I would stay there again but now I know what to ask for. Breakfast was also good.
