Good place to stay downtown, close to everything…

air conditioning is a bit bad

Nevada Flats is advertised as a hotel, but in my opinion, the property felt much more like a motel. Unfortunately, the condition of the property wasn’t even the most concerning part of our experience—it was how we were treated by the staff. We arrived in Colorado Springs to attend the firefighter memorial, and after traveling, we simply wanted to check in and see the room we had booked. The staff member was rude and unwilling to show us the room. What was especially troubling was being told that we were considered “suspect” and then being left standing in the parking lot at night without a room. This was not the kind of welcome or treatment I expected. Regardless of someone’s profession or reason for visiting, no paying guest should be treated as though they are suspicious without a legitimate reason or left outside at night after expecting to have accommodations. Customer service and basic respect go a long way in the hospitality industry. Based on how we were treated, I would not stay at Nevada Flats and cannot recommend it to others.

The room was immaculately clean the property was clean the staff every single one of them awesome and amazing the location was perfect I think about the only thing I would possibly make a an amendment to you or an adjustment to might be a little continental breakfast other than that everything was 10 Stars

No tissue, small trash can, less clean, no soap, handwash, bad smell in the room

Horrible staff. Refused to answer phone number posted or business line. She decides if she wants you to stay there, didn’t care that we had a prepaid reservation. Refused to let us checked in. Never even asked for the name on the reservation.

The positive... In the area we needed to be in. The price per night. The a/c worked really good. The negative…stains on the bed sheets, long black hairs found in the bed and around the shower, extremely flat pillows and if you need in-room amenities, such as shampoo, soap, more than two towels and two wash cloths, a hair dryer or a full length mirror, won’t find them here. Not a “hotel”, more “motel”.

Amazing place, walking distance to downtown

I had booked and fully paid for the hotel through Expedia, and my reservation had been confirmed by the hotel. However, when I arrived, the front desk employee told me she could not find my reservation in their system. Rather than making any real effort to contact Expedia or help resolve the issue, she was rude and dismissive. Since the hotel had rooms available and it was Labor Day weekend with no other hotels available in town, I had little choice but to stay. I ultimately had to pay the hotel directly out of pocket, despite already having paid through Expedia. Working with my credit card company now to recoup my money.  The property also looks very different from the photos online. The photos appear to be heavily photoshopped and do not accurately represent the condition of the hotel. I thought I was at the wrong address when I arrived. The room had been updated, but the work appeared to be done very cheaply. The room smelled old and musty, the bedding had holes in it, the bathroom was outdated, and the air conditioning did not work at all. Noise was another major issue. Motorcycles raced through the streets throughout the night, and it was extremely loud and made it very difficult to sleep. Overall, between the reservation/payment issue, poor customer service, non-functioning AC, and excessive nighttime noise, this was a very poor experience.

The helpful staff, great location and excellent price made up for limited wi-fi and aging infrastructure. Would stay again.

Do not book here. Property photos are not accurate, have been heavily photo shopped. Room was updated (cheaply) but smelled extremely old and musty, and like mildew. It was extremely loud, motorcycles and loud cars raced the streets all night which echoed through the downtown buildings making it extremely loud, not to mention sirens all night. I did not get more than an hours sleep and ended up having to find another hotel. There was little to no parking, bedding had holes in it, and AC did not work well, it was cool right next to the AC but the rest of the room amd bathroom was hot.

The manager is trying but the place is in terrible condition. We had 4 people two queen beds with a balcony. Two double beds no balcony. The room was the barest basics and I am sure it is because of theft. There was only 1 key so we had to keep hiding it on my car roof so each of us could get in. I was so embarrassed having invited my friends.

Average property, fairly dirty, but very worth the price you pay

Heather was nice and made me feel safe and it had ac and a mini fridge The room was dingy, the noise was thunderous, the lighting (I suppose making me safe) was Constant. Hard to sleep.

There was no breakfast. There was no breakfast.

The hotel is somewhat run down and my window did not have a way to lock shut but the location was good for what I wanted to do. The main complaint I have is that they double charged me for the whole stay and are saying it is non refundable!
