Arrived in early evening, entering room I realized it was not the type of room reserved. I informed desk, it was clear they knew they switched room types and hoped I wouldn't notice. I asked for refund, they said would receive but needed to clear with manager and would call me. Over 2 hours later no call, went to desk, staff was sitting idle but said they were about to call, offered to decrease room rate from $119 to $80. It was now late evening, too late to change hotels. I noted the standard is the room for free unless it is an upgrade, the rationale being the guest doesn't pay for a room they didn't reserve and the hotel doesn't profit from their mistake. They stated they are privately owned and make up their own rules. I informed them I would challenge Visa charge and complain through web site. Checking out I asked for copy of the bill, no discount had been applied, it was clear the staff knew there should have been a refund applied. I asked to speak with manager who was on the phone but did acknowledge me, told I would need to wait for him to get off the phone. While waiting the manager exited through the back room. Over 15 minutes later the staff, who previously couldn't act without the manager, said they would apply a lower room rate. I asked for copy of bill, the new rate was $89, not the promised $80 I was told. Staff seemed aware of this, said manager was gone for day and nothing could be done. Looking at the original bill with the $119 room rate, the total was higher than the booking.com guaranteed amount to pay, this wasn't from any extras I ordered, staff said other fees were increased. Arriving at home, I checked my Visa bill, the $119 room rate was applied, no discount was provided. I reported to Visa and to Choice Hotels (Woodspring doesn't offer portal for complaints).

The location was convenient. The price was good. I wish Hotels.com included the very important line "extended stay hotel." The hotel felt like an adult dormitory or halfway house. I had to sign a special form indicating that I wouldn't disable the smoke alarms. The room wasn't fancy but was fine, and included a full-size fridge. Don't expect the typical hotel stuff like a coffee pot, hair dryer or even tissues. The door did have 3 bolt locks though. I felt like I needed them. I made friends with a very sweet Rottweiler, secretly thinking I may need to solicit his help. All ended well, but next time I'll be on the look out for "extended stay" in the advertisement.

this was a less than appealing place to stay. we ended up missing our flight & because the hotel we came from was booked up, we had to choose one that was still convenient & close-by & landed on this because the pictures made it look nice. what an absolute nightmare. we had 4 large hard-side suitcases which was less than appealing to get thru their push doors. I didn’t realize how valuable an amenity like automatic sliding doors was until this stay. the check-in process was not streamline & it was like booking a room in the early 2000’s w paperwork to sign & then photocopy-ing my ID & the ID of my sister because she was also an accompanying adult. i also didn’t realize there were “smoking” rooms, which left a very unpleasant scent in the hallways. the elevator was sketchy w all the noises it would make & even tho the sound is buffered in the hotel, it is right against a major interstate which was super loud. the blankets & pillows were thin & skimpy & even though we got a room with a kitchen, all of the utensils & dinnerware & cookware was available @ the front desk for purchase. what an absolute scam. would never stay here again or recommend this dump of a hotel to anyone. convenient placement to walmart/shopping was the ONLY + this hotel had. pay the extra $20-$30 per night & stay @ towneplace suites literally 1 minute away. we came from that hotel & it was a dream.

The room door could be opened with the key. The issue the handle most be moved vertical to open. Smell of marihuana in the hallway. No toilet paper. No utensils in the kitchen.

I never make reviews but this hotel was so bad I had to make review. I tried closing the blinds and they fall off the wall and because of that couldn’t sleep with the spotlight in the lot shining right in my room, the shower is gross and only had piping hot water, the sink and toilet was disgusting and clearly not cleaned, the bed was hard as a board, the fitted sheets don’t fit the bed and wouldn’t stay on, the tv didn’t work, the room reeked of cigarettes. It has been the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve been in lots of bad hotels. Do not waste your money on this place.

Affordable, good location, quiet and the staff were very friendly. Loved having a full size refrigerator. Not enough pillows but we asked for more. No ice machine but we survived. Shower curtains were short but again, we survived.
