Legacy Inn - Cookeville

Cheap hotels tend to be disgusting these days but this place is a rare exception! Clean, well maintained and at a really low price!

Staff was very courteous! Room was clean, A/C was cold. We would stay again. $40.00 cash deposit is required, but they do have ATM in lobby. Deposit is refunded at checkout.

Me and my husband work a lot out of town and a lot of our jobs are close to Cookeville Tennessee and we stayed at just about every hotel in Cookeville and Legacy Inn is by far the best as far as value and cleanliness . I give them a five star. We will definitely be back to stay.

This was a last minute over night stay. The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The AC worked great. The Shower was good as well tub was a little slippery. No breakfast and Coffee was in the lobby. But for the price it was good. The lady at the front desk was reakky sweet. I did have to do a $40 cash deposit, was given back right after they checked to room. I can see why they do this, due to some people taking towels ect. They have a ATM in the lobby for you to get the cash with a $3 fee. Overall this was a good place to stay. If we are ever in the area and need a place to spend the night we would stay here.

Did not stay. Did not stay. L would like to believe it was not intentional, but the person who checked me in was condescending and all I saw was red. Nothing would have made me stay after my initial experience.

Good location. Well lit. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Not the hotels fault, but my neighbors were loud and argued into the early morning.

We got put in a smoking room, and the rooms around us were smoking as well and we left smelling like smoke.

Bed was hard and uncomfortable.

The manager was absolutely terrible to me. I did what he asked me to do and he still kicked me out. He stole another night's rent and the cash deposit. There were no damages. I have never had my money flat out stolen from under me ...and nothing I could do about it because the cops would have fabricated for him to have what he wanted. Especially if they all have common nefarious interests. I will not stop until I have every last dime back. I aSKED FOR the refund SEVERAL TIMES AND HE REFUSEd every time. He left me homeless and I really did everything he asked me to do. There was just no reason for it, and his attitude and actions were perverse.

The toilet ran all night, door stop and toilet paper holder were rusted. The person at the front desk could not answer any questions and it was a very noisy area. Never had to pay a cash deposit before!

We reached late in the night. Checkin was quick. The staff insisted on paying the security deposit through cash only. Luckily, I had enough. Room was ok. The bedsheet had stains and there was a dead fly under the sheets. Informed the staff at the reception and they responded quickly. Banging on the door seems to be the way of life here and there was no subtlety. The guy apologized, cited a reason for the stains and changed the sheets. The 2nd guy took the dead fly out and his facial expression seemed to say “why are you making a big deal about this. It’s just a dead fly”. We forgot to bring our toothpaste and were charged $3 for a small tube.

The price was very good and the beds were so comfortable and the room was clean. The front desk staff were very friendly. No breakfast but they did have coffee

Air conditioning was ice cold. Clean hotel with a very friendly staff. No issues. This ain't the Ritz but it works great for me.
