Legacy Inn - Cookeville

The manager was absolutely terrible to me. I did what he asked me to do and he still kicked me out. He stole another night's rent and the cash deposit. There were no damages. I have never had my money flat out stolen from under me ...and nothing I could do about it because the cops would have fabricated for him to have what he wanted. Especially if they all have common nefarious interests. I will not stop until I have every last dime back. I aSKED FOR the refund SEVERAL TIMES AND HE REFUSEd every time. He left me homeless and I really did everything he asked me to do. There was just no reason for it, and his attitude and actions were perverse.

Nothing Everything, woman working front desk was uncurtious

The toilet ran all night, door stop and toilet paper holder were rusted. The person at the front desk could not answer any questions and it was a very noisy area. Never had to pay a cash deposit before!

The price was very good and the beds were so comfortable and the room was clean. The front desk staff were very friendly. No breakfast but they did have coffee

We reached late in the night. Checkin was quick. The staff insisted on paying the security deposit through cash only. Luckily, I had enough. Room was ok. The bedsheet had stains and there was a dead fly under the sheets. Informed the staff at the reception and they responded quickly. Banging on the door seems to be the way of life here and there was no subtlety. The guy apologized, cited a reason for the stains and changed the sheets. The 2nd guy took the dead fly out and his facial expression seemed to say “why are you making a big deal about this. It’s just a dead fly”. We forgot to bring our toothpaste and were charged $3 for a small tube.

Air conditioning was ice cold. Clean hotel with a very friendly staff. No issues. This ain't the Ritz but it works great for me.

This is a nice basic place to stay when you're just looking for a hot shower & comfortable bed to sleep in. The refrigerator & microwave came in handy. They only have complimentary coffee in the lobby (no other breakfast items). My room was clean, except the bathroom had a slightly moldy smell (shower curtain?). For the price, it was a good place to stay while I was moving into my new house.

Room and amenities, you get what you pay for. Its old but clean.

Room was clean and the AC/Heating was superb. The water pressure and temperature was super great!

Staff rude .room not that clean floor dirty toilet ran all the time .water pressure so bad could not rinse hair out.

Otherwise room is VERY basic and minimal.

Bed was fine, bath tub was not.

There's not enough parking but it was very well kept and there's a cash deposit that I never seen anything about and wasn't aware of until I checked in but you get it back at checkout

Close to restaurants very quiet and several hiking areas within driving distance . Parking was a bit tight in a long truck but I also got there later than I planned

Staff was friendly, though. They came and mopped our floor with dirty water they had been using in all the other rooms. Would be a nice hotel if the rooms didn’t stink and they did a little better cleaning.

The property had clean beds and floors. The front desk was nice and friendly. However, our bathroom was really dirty and the parking lot ran out of spaces to park and people were parking anywhere they could.
