El Rancho Motel

Cozy room, comfortable beds, excelled ac, loved the seating area outside, appreciate the cold drinking water dispenser. Can't beat free parking. Really loved this place. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway.

Very quite very clean

Parking was not the best, two of the parking spaces were too close to the main street making it difficult to get out while the two in the back were generally too small. And if we didn’t find parking we would have to park on the side of the road and knowing San diego, rarely is there any good road side parking. And the coffee machine in our room was dirty. My bf and I didn’t not want to use it for that same reason that it looks like it was not cleaned properly at all. Overall, the stay was good. They had the A/C blasting when we entered the room which was a bonus since it was a hot day. Very cute motel to say the least.

This is my. 2nd time there

Had a mixup at the staff level and our room was given away to wrong party. We were accommodated with an upgrade room but had to move once our original room became available. A bit troublesome but it worked out. Parking was fine for use though very few spots. It was a great property for the basics of what we needed. Quiet and easy to access with our bikes.

Their phone message said they could not accept calls. After 30 minutes of trying to reach them I left. I was not able to stay because no one was available for check in.

Easy check in. Clean room. The bed was comfortable. Reasonably priced for a nice location. Parking wasn't an issue. We would stay here again.

Quaint boutique type of hotel/cottage. Clean with comfortable bed and good location in the bit of paradise that is Coronado.

Very charming and clean. We had parking which was nice and the beds were comfy. Great WiFi. The A/C worked great and the staff were very nice. We would definitely stay here again. Also, was within walking distance to everything.

A quaint, but very bare bones hotel. This is not a destination or resort hotel, but it is probably the most affordable place to bed down on Coronado island. Small, but clean room with TV, small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker w/a couple mugs provided. No closet, just a 6 inch bar attached to the wall with a few hangers on it. An iron and a landline phone were in one of the drawers. Small bathroom and shower with tiny soaps. The front office is unmanned, but you can enter with the code they provide you to pick-up your room key along with extra towels, soaps, shampoos, coffees, etc.. Checkout is just dropping your key in the drop box by the office. Parking is minimal, but we always found a spot. One nice 'extra' is that they leave a couple beach towels in each room for you to use at the beach (which let's face it, is probably the reason that you're staying on Coronado island) and they have several folding beach chairs that you can take to the beach as well! They say that there are also beach umbrellas available, but I didn't see any. (Tip: if you need to, you can rent beach equipment at Little Sam's Island & Beach Fun across from the Hotel Del, next to the El Cordova Hotel)

Stayed in unit 9 Relaxing-quiet secluded & private,great location! Benefit parking right outside our room. We loved that my crew cab Tundra had a longer spot to park in. We enjoyed the beach and the shops located walking distance

Great property, at a great price. This is a nice boutique motel in a great location. You are within walking distance of many restaurants, nightlife, and activities; but just far enough away where you don't have to deal with the noise. I'd definitely stay here again.
