Avenue of the Arts Costa Mesa, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

The hotel itself was great. It smelled wonderful in the lobby. Parking was a bit of an issue at night as some people didn’t park well, but overall, it was worth it.

We booked this hotel for the 4 of July, and it was our first time staying here. We were able to check in about an hour early, which wasappreciated. After briefly dropping off our belongings in the room,we left for the beach and did not use the restroom at that time.When we returned around midnight, we were extremely disappointed by the lack of cleanliness. The toilet was visibly soiled,with urine present underneath the seat something that was clearly noticeable and should have been addressed during routine housekeeping.Given that we had been out all day, we had no choice but to use the restroom and prepare for the night, which made the situation even more uncomfortable and unsanitary.I went to the front desk to report the issue.The staff member was polite and kind; however, she informed me that there was nothing she could do at that time because housekeeping had already left.She advised me to speak with management in the morning.Unfortunatelywhen I followed up with management, the response was highly unprofessional and dismissive. There was no apology,no acknowledgment of the severity of the issue, and no effort to provide a resolution. I was simply told that they would notify the cleaning staff. This response was unacceptable, as it did nothing to address the fact that we were left in an unsanitary room with no supplies to clean the restroom.This experience made me think if lack of restroom cleaning was done,had me question the beds.was an very uncomfortable stay!!

It was beautiful and well maintained property. The room was very clean and the temperature was nice and cool. The only negative issue was the lock was broken and the key didn't work on the snack bar. We checked out very early and the staff was there to great us. We took our dog with us and you would never know that they were a dog friendly hotel. We will stay with them again next year.

I liked the design of the place. The breakfast could expand on the menu, but it’s good quality.

Found a huge cockroach in our washroom! There was a key needed for the refrigerator which the front desk did not provide to us upon check-in. The water in the shower/tub was backed up and did not drain. I would not stay in this hotel again.

My stay was wonderful! The room was super nice, the view overlooking the pond was great.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff members were very attentive. They accommodated all of our requests and everyone showed such kindness to me and my husband. We ate at the restaurant more than once and the food and service were excellent. The room was nice and comfortable and the lake behind the property made for a really nice view. I highly recommend this property. It’s also well situated within walking distance of restaurants and also close to shopping.

Excellent hotel next to the Orange county performing arts center. Very nice. Will definitely stay here again.

I live about an hour and a half away from the theater, so I usually don’t relish the idea of driving back home after watching this beautiful show so I stay at this hotel. It’s reasonably priced has wonderful amenities and a thoughtful staff plus you’re within walking distance of some great restaurants.

My stay was significantly impacted by a wedding event held on the property, directly beneath the guest rooms. From approximately 3:30 PM until 9:00 PM, loud music and constant noise could be heard throughout my room. At times, it felt as though the event was taking place inside the room itself. I reported the issue to the front desk and was offered a different room. Unfortunately, after moving, the noise was even worse. Despite making an effort to resolve the problem with hotel staff, I was unable to enjoy a quiet or relaxing stay. The event also created parking issues. When I returned to the hotel, the parking lot was full, and I had to wait in my car until a space became available. Hotel guests should not have to compete with event attendees for parking. While the property itself is excellent, the excessive noise, unsuccessful room change, and parking problems had a major negative impact on my stay. I understand that hotels host private events, but guests should be informed in advance if their rooms are located directly above an event venue. Because of this experience, I would have difficulty recommending this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

I've stayed here for years and it just seems it's going downhill, spent a good amount for a room and it was not up to par. Disappointed to say the least.
