Perfect for what me and my 2 adult sons needed for trip to Dana Point - convenient to Harbor and everything and very safe and clean hotel

All of the staff were wonderful, helpful and very nice. Great location by the beach. Good for the price but not as clean as I would like, not sure if it’s just because it’s an older building or something else. Check in and out was easy. They did have a small store in the lobby but the prices were outrageous, $8 for a water bottle and $8 for an ice cream sandwich that was partially melted… Parking being $25 a day is also outrageous. Breakfast buffet was nice and so was the attendant he was keeping everything clean and full while greeting and chatting with hotel guest. I do wish the buffet was a little longer even by an hour. Also keep in mind the hotel is on the highway so you will hear cars all night. All in all the hotel was okay for the price, the friendly staff really saves the hotel.

Great place lots of food close by

Property was not what was expected, it’s a much older property and the beds were not comfortable there was a weird dirty smell in the hallways and I will not be staying there again

Our stay at Best Western Plus Marina Shores in Dana Point was GREAT! The hotel was very well taken care of, our room on the third floor was extremely clean, the breakfast was quite good (many things to choose from) and the staff was amazing!!! Without exception the staff was incredible, all were exceedingly nice and accommodating. We were there for 2 nites for our July anniversary and I don't think things could have gone better. We had a basic king room and we had an unadvertised peek a boo view of the ocean! It was pretty warm outside and our room ac kept us very comfortable. We easily walked to the Dana Point Harbor and to Doheny Beach as well as to a few restaurants. All good! We're quite happy! Lovely stay!

There were not enough plugs for our chargers. I had to disconnect the two telephones and the clock in order to charge my phone and watch. In today’s tech environment this is unacceptable!! The price of the room was $300 a night and I guess I expected better quality. Now we come to the “free breakfast “!! Every morning was exactly the same. Powdered scrambled eggs dries up pork of some kind etc. The best food at breakfast was the waffles that you make yourself. They kept running out of batter and there was always a line to make a waffle because everything else was undesirable. This too has gone downhill from when we started to frequent this Best Western Plus Hotel. I do not recommend this hotel.

It was a great stay with great access to everything!

I wish I could put 0 stars that what they deserve

The room was a little grimy and there was a large amount of dust behind the TV and beds. The pool area is super small so if there’s another family in there you have no place to sit and chill. Breakfast being free was awesome. Parking is super tight also.

The only thing I would change is the quality of the breakfast. But that's true at most hotels. Better bread products and higher quality eggs would be nice. Maybe go a little more European, with some fresh fruit and cheese.
-
But they definitely need to get a NEW TOASTER AND 2 NEW WAFFLE MAKERS!

The room was clean. The view was nice. The staff was great. I didn't use the pool.

Our stay was very comfortable! The room was a great size and exceptionally clean. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our visit. The amenities were well maintained, and the swimming pool was a lot of fun for the kids. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

The hotel was amazing. It’s so clean and the stuff are so helpful.

Hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. I feel the property itself was in need of some cleaning and renovation, but the rooms and lobby were very clean and well kept.

Very nice

My biggest complaint was the air conditioning unit. I had to keep just the fan on at night, since the a/c was so loud when it turned on. Made the room very stuffy overnight. The staff was very friendly. Their was a power outage in Dana Point plus other cities, but it didn’t effect the Hotel, thank goodness!

The pool was small and there was little seating for visitors.

The room was nice, however I feel that the jacuzzi tub/ shower was an accident waiting to happen. In order to get in the tub even to take a shower or bath you had to go up two large steps to then go down into the jacuzzi tub. The tub wasnt to slippery as it had some non slip strips but getting out was a little tricky because your wet and standing on ceramic flooring of course you can use a towel buy that could be a trip hazard too. There is a handrail on one side but older people and younger too need to be careful or you could really slip and fall. My room smelled a little musty and curtains had a moldy stains. Cindy
