Best Western Plus Marina Shores Hotel

Our room was clean but bathroom could have been cleaned much better. Staff is Awesome. Lori is really sweet and did us right for the bathroom not being very clean. . Breakfast is good and parking is good. We’ve stayed here 3 years during 4th of July and we will be back next year.

It was a good price and a much lower pet fee than other places. The downside was that our check in time was pushed by an hour and a half and the room had a bit of a gross smell of humid or rancid smell.

The air conditioner makes noise and I needed more blankets and they said there wasn’t any spare.. The staff were excellent and very friendly .. The good thing is it’s walking distance to the beach but I’d rather spend money on a nicer hotel for the price I paid ..

Great stay

Hotel location was perfect for walking access to the beach and harbor. Large room size gave us plenty of space. My only critic would be that our black out shades had some gaps, some of which had been closed with tape.

I have a picture of a nasty bad aids on the floor. The pool is the size of a hot tub. The parking situation is an absolute nightmare. The parking garage wasn't well kept. My first day i came down to get coffee and was given serious attitude by the guy doing breakfast that i was to early. i was there at 627 it opens at 630. I just wanted coffee nothing from that nasty breakfast bar. I can speak on the rooms- They had a old moldy funk. Even with the AC running it still stunk. bathtubs stained. Wont ever do this again. Spend the extra couple bucks and stay somewhere better. I travel weekly for business and this one really bothered me.

Not customer friendly

This room was not worth the money they charged. There was mold on the tile in the shower. The shower is a death trap, I had to duck just to take a shower because my head was hitting the cealing in the shower. They built the shower about 3 feet ubove the bathroom floor. Thats 3 steps of ceramic slippery tile to get in the shower. They charge you for parking but no one was monitoring the handicap partking, so you had non handicap cars parking in handicap parking.

They tried to charge us for parking without asking if we had a car, we Ubered in. Breakfast was underwhelming, we should have gone to Starbucks across the street. This will be the last time we ever stay at a Best Western, especially if it has a “Plus” in the name.

We were expecting much more for $350 a night on saturday. Nothing is excellent or wonderful about this place . Never been in such a dump smelly room before .

Was a nice hotel and the location was perfect.

Everything was wonderful! (the parking is a bit tight, but acceptable) I highly recommend this hotel - you won't regret it.

Great price, great location — walkable to some good restaurants, quick drive to here beach. Lots of parking. Room was huge. No complaints!

Be ready to pay an extra $25 for parking per day; this place asks for additional money to park your car. Not nice

Loved this hotel, I would definitely stay here again. Suite was clean, very quiet at night, Pet friendly. Staff was very nice, Doheny beach is less than a 10 min walk. So many restaurants across the street from hotel, including Starbucks, McDonald’s, Del Taco, Jersey Mike’s etc etc. my dog enjoyed his Daily walks to the beach, morning and late afternoon. Free breakfast, very good breakfast, different types of coffee, waffles, yogurts, cereal, eggs, sausage, toast, bagels, fruit, etc. staff was super nice, the 2 ladies at check in were super friendly. The only thing missing was usb, we had to buy an adapter for our phones. We only brought the cables. Other than that, it’s an amazing hotel.

Location was great. We could walk to the places we wanted to see. The suite was spacious though dark in the living room. Balcony was fine too bad there was noise from PCH.

Well, we were assigned room 220. That room is uninhabitable. The reason- there were noisy footsteps throughout the night. Not sure what was above room 220, but definitely it was a sub par accommodation for a good night’s sleep. Not sure if this room is reserved for Expedia “customers’? I was thoroughly disappointed and it was not worth my $170 a night rate!
