Dana Point Marina Inn

Tha Dana Point Marina has an awesome staff. Always willing to help answer any questions, weather it is about the hotel or the local area. The hotel rooms are quiet and the few times I've stayed here always get a full night's rest. The rooms are very spacious. Lots of restaurants in the area and a Ralph's supermarket about a 10 minute walk up the hill. The Marina boardwalk is really a must! Overall, a quiet area to catch some R & R.

We are sad this property will be closing at some point. It’s a great location, close to everything in Dana Point, especially if you are doing an excursion. It is walking distance to the marina, Dana Wharf and restaurants. We plan to come back next month.

Staff is great and you cannot beat the location ! So sad to see this hotel be neglected. The place is tired and needs a total renovation. Rumor has it that the hotel will be torn down in October as part of the huge Dana Marina renovation. I guess that's why they are doing no updating.

The hotel is very average. Location is fine but the service wasn’t great. Rooms are not serviced, coffee is not replenished in the room, it felt like they did not have adequate housekeeping staff. Front desk was helpful. The place is a bit rundown. Overall, it is fine for a quick stay and affordable for the area.

Dana Point Marina Inn is a great location and I am sad that it will be gone soon. However, even though the location is wonderful and prices reasonable, the Inn isn't very clean and is very dusty inside the rooms. If you are sensitive to dust, it may not be the best choice. I enjoy the morning breakfast spread offered at the Inn and the staff are responsive when you need something. However, if I were management, I would give all the rooms a very deep cleaning. The guest may not expect upgrades or improvements since the Inn will be demolished soon. But cleanliness is non-negotiable.

I think they stopped trying because the end is near. The new renovation to the whole area is changing the future of affordability in that sea port town beautiful as it once was a great hotel but now it’s in a Bagon era of expansion where the billionaires are pushing the millionaires out! Good luck to people that made that place fun and beautiful.

Great location and having the option of an outside patio is a plus for me

Bad. The tub had mold. The sink kitchenette sink was clogged. The “breakfast included” is a joke. Very limited cold and hot options, nobody is there to assist you. No options for dairy free diet, or other special diet needs. The patio chairs are falling apart, very unsafe situation.

The hotel is old and I think they are going to remodel it or rebuild it as the city is updating the entire pier. That being said, the staff were nice and it is a great location.

Suite is very spacious. Expect out dated decor and furniture. We chose this hotel for the ease of shopping, the ocean, the beach and parks! Great for small families or groups.I will stay again.

Older property, rooms are cozy. Could be cleaner but okay.

At $300/night, I was expecting slightly more modern facilities and maintenance. Our room probably had its last upgrade in the 1950s or 60s. The kitchen had one spoon, two forks and one knife. The carpet was ripped, sink had a broken piece just sitting in the sink, several little hairs in the tub. There is no AC in the bedroom, only in the family room. We won't be back.

I do want to shout out Aiden at the front desk he was very friendly, professional, helpful. I did enjoys staying there it was right by the water very quiet and peaceful the cost was affordable and a good deal for where we were at and you get breakfast which was amazing and yummy. Thank you to the morning staff. Please make sure Aiden gets a shout out.
