We were not happy that the only way to get to the beach was to cross a busy street and walking through a campground to get there. There was a longer way to go but requires a longer walk. Pillows and sheets need updates. Pillows were so soft they didn't give your head and neck any support. Fitted sheet wouldn't stay on the bed. The mattress cover had stains in it. Hallways and elevators were hot. I ordered the French toast one morning and it took about 45 minutes to get. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

We had an issue where someone came into our room without knocking, when we had the do not disturb sign on our door. We told him to get out which he did. I tried to call the front desk but the phone was dead. We called on our cell phone and asked for the manager. He was in a meeting but we were told he would call us. He never did. We went by the desk again and were told he was out. We never heard from him. When we checked out I asked for him. The desk clerk said he didn’t work weekends. I told her today was Friday, not a weekend. I ended up with an assistant manager. She apologized and said the workman went into the wrong room. He was supposed to be going to the room next to ours to repair the shower. Not a good excuse and how about knocking before going into the room? That was it. They did not seem too concerned. I won’t hold my breath waiting for the manager to call me.

There was no shampo or conditioner in our shower. The was a loud HVAC noise they kept us up at night. There was a loose piece in the shower. Not a good stay.

The room smells like a Sewer and the TV didn't work. And no one cared..Don't think I will go back.

Older property we were in a separate building from the main building and lobby so we entered and exited in the garage. Tub shower which is not preferred by me. Bathroom small. Ocean view but obstructed by trees more a partial view.

The hotel is outdated and needs a makeover. Most importantly, our room had a defective AC unit and woke up in a pool of sweat throughout the night and morning. We had a four night reservation and had to leave after two nights. The staff was great and understanding and relieved us of our commitment.

The staff was very friendly and the best part about this hotel is the very convenient 5 minutes walk to the beach!

Friendly staff, restaurant on site, with easy, covered parking, most rooms have a view of the beach. Only a short walk from the beach. Very pleasant stay and we would stay here again.

Check in was horrible. I prepaid the week in full and they gave away my room and were super condescending about it. The hallways smell heavily of drugs all the time. Parking is $55 per night. For the price we paid it was not worth it.

Sliding bathroom door. It needs to be sealed so others can see in

The property has a smell - like sewage. The pool was dirty . The property could use an update. The sliding doors to the balcony seem original to the property (70s) and did not close properly. Our shower door glass was separated at the bottom causing water all over the floor. The barn door to our bathroom, did not close properly and I got stuck inside. The rooftop terraces were closed. The restaurants and drinks at the bar are pricey. Had dinner at the rooftop restaurant, ordered apps and mains. Everything came at once and was ice cold. (Probably because the server has to go down 4 flights to retrieve the food from the kitchen) No direct beach access. Have to cross PCH to get to Doheny Beach which is a short walk away. One positive - the staff is great. Parking is about 45.00/day . Paid 1750.00 for 5 days for 2 rooms. Not worth it for the price. Disappointed considering it’s a Hilton .

My daughter and I did a girls trip and we felt very safe our entire stay. It was nice having the underground parking as well. Had an AMAZING ocean view (when it said "partial ocean view", I was expecting a lot less... happily surprised!). We weren't in the room a lot, as we explored the beaches and areas around Dana Point, but coming and going was very convenient.

Terrible experience! Our first night there, there was a huge cockroach that came out from under the bed and was running around in the room. We called the front desk asking for help. I was told someone would be up but no one ever came. I called a second time and finally someone came 30 mins later. He grabbed the cockroach with a towel. He said it's common to have cockroaches there because they are located by the water. If that is true, then they need to make sure to keep up with maintaining pest control to ensure the health and safety of guests. We were traumatized and did not feel comfortable sleeping there. We packed up our stuff and left. They did not charge me for the night. Hotels.com customer service was amazing in helping us relocate to another hotel.

Hotel was clean bed super comfy staff amazing!

Horrible experience. Room was not ready when promised. Hotel has a train running through the back side, which affects all the rooms because you hear the Amtrak going by every 30 minutes and it looks like a homeless in encampment as well very unsafe no air conditioning in the hotel other than the actual rooms. Television did not work. Bathroom had a very bad odor. The pool was very small with no shade to sit around it. The phone lines did not work to call the hotel. The parking structure seems unsafe without enough lighting. I would not stay at this hotel.

The room was dingy and the shower didn't drain. We only stayed a night so weren't able to utilize any amenities. The staff was great and the location and view were awesome.

The room was not very clean. The bathroom needed to be cleaned. The fold out couch was not clean when it was folded out. The HVAC system was ridiculously loud every time it went on. The wall in our room, 249 raddled every time the a/c was turned on. The constant sound of a generator or something was annoying. The phone to call the front desk didn't work and the toilet chain in the water tank broke and was fixed. The front lobby was dirty....stained furniture and crumbs on the tables.
