Hilton Garden Inn Dana Point Doheny Beach

Sunday late afternoon went to bar. Horrible service not friendly too much ego not at all hospitable

We were there for a 1 night stay midweek, but nothing was really open (the lounge/bar etc). We ate at the restaurant, our waffles didn't come with the apple compote the menu says it does and the egg on the avocado toast was hardboiled not poached. For what you pay to eat, the food was mid tier. We were also hit with a few extra charges upon checkout that I'm not sure what they are for and am having trouble speaking with anyone at the front desk (the phone number doesn't let me speak with anyone live).

Nice newly remodeled hotel across from a public beach. The pool is small but breakfast (not included) was good and free coffee is a plus. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Beach access is a short 7 minute walk and across a street. Garage parking is a plus.

It was great staff was amazing

We stayed for three days and our room was never cleaned. We asked staff we saw in the hallway for extra towels but they couldn’t give us any because our room was showing as vacant in their system. We then went downstairs twice to ask for towels and to have our trash taken out, neither of which happened. Upon check out, the front desk told us housekeeping only comes once every two days; but we still never saw them.

This place is perfect !! So perfect for a calm family vacation !! So close to everything and super clean !! Would definitely recommend !

My favorite place!

Pool was dirty. Beds were uncomfy. Took 3 hours to receive a blanket. View is nice if you’re at the restaurant but no view besides eating at the restaurant. I was most bummed about that. Parking $45 a night self park.

It's on the back side of the hotel, so no view (except for the rear parking area and the Surfliner train tracks) The small patio with 2 chairs was nice for fresh air in the evenings.

Staff was nice. And location was only about a 15min walk to the marina. Bathroom was a little dirty.

No ocean view and did not have breakfast

The attention you get from valets when you get dropped off set the mood. One young woman was very awesome. Just nice welcoming touch you wouldn’t think of.

We had two rooms and toilets did not work

Nice place to stay. Rooms at the back have some traffic noise.

I truly enjoyed my experience. Normally hotels have such stiff pillows and beds, especially the couches. But coming in after a long day we practically sank into comfort, and I really enjoyed the firepit they have. I do wish the breakfast and lunch was free, but it was an enjoyable stay.

The room was adequate. The shower was dirty and disgusting. We had a weird shared courtyard behind our room.

Room could have been cleaner. Self parking was automatically charged at $45 at check in which we were unaware about. Close distance to Capistrano beach.

Super helpful staff. You can walk to the beach.

Went to celebrate my birthday and it was a close walk to the beach. The room was clean and we had fun!
