I understand that this is a very high end resort and spa, but the fact there we received no forewarning that more than half the resort was closed off for remodel made our stay less than desirable. Staff was helpful and friendly. But the available amenities were not accommodating for the amount of guests present. For the amount of money paid this was not worth the cost.

The staff is excellent. Everyone goes out of their way to help. The site is undergoing a huge renovation, and I knew nothing about it until we got there. Part of the hotel was torn down, and there were huge trucks and equipment digging and beeping behind privacy fences. Also, the ocean view rooms overlook the pool, where there is disco and electronic music playing from 9am to 9pm. Sitting on the balcony with an ocean view room was not the relaxing experience I expected.

Based on all the commotion and the construction, I feel like the hotel was actually downgraded. Due to that inconvenience, I was expecting this discounted rates. We didn’t really enjoy the view and the resort to the fullest because of the all the noise of the construction.

Restaurants were closed. I could go on and on. The property is probably nice when it's not under construction.

Property undergoing renovation. Didn't know when booking so expectations and reality clash. If booking, please check if renovations are complete otherwise expect construction noice, ad-hoc routing of walking paths and property amenities limited.

Everything was great about this property, staff, location, room, cleanliness,,, We enjoyed the front lawn area and the walking distance to the beach and harbor.

Loved our stay, beautiful place to visit. It would be nice if the pool temp was a bit warmer but overall it was a great experience. My son loved the pool and loved the breakfast buffet.

Major renovations going on that disrupted my plans a bit - mostly due to the pool situation and that the main one was closed off (under construction along with half of the property) The kids pool was the only one open and f i l l e d with screaming kids. Overall, the room was nice but the walls were very thin. Room next to us sounded as if they had a family of 5 with screaming kids, although it was one very loud, unruly child that the parents refused to discipline. The kid was screaming and running up and down the halls and when i asked them to control their child as “everyone isn’t on vacation and some of us have early morning meetings” the obnoxious father got belligerent with me. I contacted mgmt about this issue and they dealt with him. We had another reservation to stay at this property on our way back home later this week, but I canceled it and booked a room elsewhere. It’s not a property that I’ll be staying at again as it’s too loud and is more of a family property. Mostly families who let their kids scream and run rampant like they own the place. No thank you

Nice hotel, still under construction , only stayed overnight

location and service construction walls

Property has an area under construction which has rajendra away from the beauty of the location.

Location Construction, not getting the room we paid for

The hotel is under renovation and we were not notified about it. I've stayed there several times but this time we were very frustrated for not been able to enjoyed it as advertised. And no discount for the inconvenience. It is a lovely property but to visit only when the full renovation is complete

The hotels location is about the only thing it has going for it. The price you have to pay to be in a construction zone is more than it is worth the staff minus the valet staff was something you would expect from a motel 6 and charged the price of staying at a ritz Carlton which I would choose if rather than be placed from one inadiquite room to another. The rooms are crammed together and the size was that of a closet. Anyone thinking of this Marriott should consider otherwise and I’m extremely dissatisfied with the overall experience. I hope that they will get their act together as I enjoy most every Marriott stay I have had.

Very nice facility however it is undergoing construction a fact that we weren’t made aware of until well after the booking. They also charge a resort fee (why not include it in the price of the room?) which were not made aware of until check out. We also had to pay extra for maid service ( again we were not made aware until check out) and parking. Where in the hell am I going to park? The parking garage was full so most everyone staying there, drove there. It’s not the kind of place you walk to or take the bus to. The advertised room rate is not what you pay.

Half the resort was closed for construction. No mention of this when I booked the resort. This was my 3rd time and I’m very disappointed. I only came back from the good experience. This is unacceptable!

Friendly and very helpful staff. Well maintained. Would have like an additional restaurant choice and a pool area that wasn't geared to families.
-
Great room, very quiet, staff friendly. Parking should be free for hotel guests.

Staff friendly and very helpful. Sonia was exceptional. We had a bit of a problem (my fault) but Sonia was very understanding and offered to help resolve. Thankfully I managed to sort it out.

Customers should be informed about any major construction at the time of booking, especially when they are paying full price for the room and the resort fee. We also booked a resort-view balcony room, but there were fences outside our balcony. I can provide photos if needed.
